RE: Appeal: Pavja2
geck, he's not flaming, he's expressing that he wants pavja back on and he's pointing out valid reasons as to how pav ended up there. For all we know he could've heard a monster inside the room and just dug.

I'm not sure the circumstances, but Pavja has never xrayed before, I don't why he would start now. He is one of the servers greatest thieves, so take that into account as well.

Doggy, if he wasn't flaming, he would have phrased it like Suba did, not, "You're just pissed because he took your stuff".

Love,
Gecko

I don't want to take one side here but why not? You can't just say he's never xrayed, like you know it. Maybe he has been doing it all along but no one ever knew. Would honestly also explain why he's such a good thief.

RE: Appeal: Pavja2
I'm flattered that you all are so intrigued by my thieving methods. I will post a formal appeal in a day or two, I'm currently on Holiday but will be returning home soon. Sadly part of this appeal will entail me revealing a few of my most advanced thieving mechanisms but I suppose that there is at least some interest in how one becomes a better thief so my appeal will also function as a guide to thieving and hiding your stuff more effectively. I am sure Kiwike anxiously awaits it.

No Gecko, I do not ever flame. However, I am next to positive that Pavja, being a thief and generating so much revenue in doing so, would not X-Ray. Doesn't mean he didn't, just I highly doubt it.

RE: Appeal: Pavja2
Have we all forgotten that some one has gotten 6000 gold since 2.0. That concerns me greatly.

You can most Likly find what you are about to say on YouTube or google. Just type how to be a successful thieve on a minecraft SMP.

It is not intrigued it is more concerned. as-far as i am concerend my option was the best way to protect a vault. even better then a flawed towny vip plot system.
I would appricate it. as you would make your guide in a other post then your appeal.
Seeing it might confuse that what you did. with the what you could have done also.

Like yotta pointed out the two add up.
And i do not ban or suspected someone without proof arguments and speculations.
So i am as he call it out "anixously" awaiting, for other reason then a thiefing guide

Try it, I've found next to nothing, effective thieving is essentially self-taught and IMO cannot be otherwise taught since it falls close to a kind of "dowsing" or subconscious familiarity with usual terrain generation (minecraft terrain is not random but follows set limitations and rules, certain things which are unusual stick out and merit investigation, the more you thieve the more reflexively you notice these irregularities, especially since the density calculations done by minecrafts terrain generation appear to be highly recursive [that is every block is placed not randomly but on a basis of the surrounding blocks])
Once I have access to a computer I shall attempt a more lucid explaination of what has become instinctive.

RE: Naam, I am not sure if I have screens of both vaults being found since the buried one was more luck than successful raiding. I suspected something to be thier do to the lack of ice above the spot where I ultimately dug. I did not expect a vault of that size however. I was actually hunting for a tunnel system that might lead me to other wealth below the town itself.

Should I create a seperate post for my appeal or just put it in this thread?
