The day had been peaceful until now.
André had watched the sun rise from beyond the great mountains. Had worked under it while it had been at its peaks. And had moved towards mavenholm while it was setting, doing small chores of repairing the roads as he went along.
He had sat down at the inn of maven wearing his cloak over his head to avoid the running into people and a conversation first a meal before speaking up and possible getting drunk he thought smirking.

Then the scene unfolded in front of his eyes. Running people walking people shouting people. A speech of crèche. He drank his mug empty and stretched. Moving up and testing if his shoulder muscles were ready just in case. A diamond sword glistering at his hip.

He slowly stands up. Still in the taravan and simply slips some gold coins to the bar were the innkeeper was before he fled. Then he walks outside sighing slowly. Nobody knew the road builders, the watchers ha.

He watched the body from a small distance. Watching cerce with his speech and getting marked before removing his hood and placing a hand on his shoulder looking grave.

Cerce turned to Naamandre, and chuckled. "Well, that's one way to put it..." He looked at the dead man who had been hanged earlier. "Well, I hear someone's setting up a funeral for this man later on..." He paused. "You know, that could have been me. Very easilly, in fact. I wonder why they didn't... Anyways, I'm heading back to the castle. Some of my guards have been complaining about increased Undead activity around Cerantiace. These assasins are not my main concern as of late."

He then walked out of Mavenholm in the direction of Castle Tentones...

"I want them dead, all of them. Though they're not a concern now, we do need to stop the problem before it gets worse. Listen, if you find any info on these piss ugly puss wounds tell me. We can meet up and devise a plan to stop them once and for all. I want x's head scorched and stuck on a pole within' a month."

*The Geckosquid comes running out of the bar, and pushes his way through the crowd to where Andre and Squiggley are standing. "I watched the whole thing from the bar" he says. "I didn't dare leave... Where did they go? I'll slaughter that Speaker character with my bare hands for what he did to Cerce... I plan on chasing them down. I don't tire easily. Quickly, point me in the right direction, before they gain too much of a head start!"

*The Geckosquid comes running out of the bar, and pushes his way through the crowd to where Andre and Squiggley are standing. "I watched the whole thing from the bar" he says. "I didn't dare leave... As squiggley looks upon gecko charging down the street after them he slides his two handed sword from it's sheath.

"may as well follow him, hell. We might even catch the bastards."

[The Speaker]

The Geckosquid runs, with Squiggley in hot pursuit. Eventually, they find themselves running along a path in the middle of a forest, with tall, ominous trees and thick foliage on either side. Suddenly, a black blur leaps across the path, taking The Geckosquid with it. The reptilian manages nothing but a small screech before he disappears into the trees.

A familiar voice booms out from where he was taken: "There is no hope for your friend! X has him now!"

And just like that, silence falls over the forest, leaving Squiggley alone among the trees. It is as if The Geckosquid was never there.
