Yea, a Minister of Defense was included in the cabinet anyways. I also think having a separate captain distributed to every city as a leader of their portion of the Guards. This Captain will take orders from the mayor of said town but ultimately listens to the General (Minister). Plus the addition of any militias wanted to be levied by the town itself. These militias will not receive financial help from the cabinet though as the Guards are already supplied. How many soldiers should we put to each city? Not including the Captain.

Depends on how much soldiers there are. There also should be roads where the guards can patrol, so they'll keep a structure.

About the minister of defence, maybe he'll get a too big advantage if he'll also lead the army compared with other ministers.
Just a PS but IRL there is also a minister of defence (like I said he decides what) and a general (decides how).

Mhm, I can see where you're coming from with the minister and general thing but we'll see. Too many leader figures may be a bad thing, and a corrupt official is the last thing we need.

Ok, that's sounds cool. First i have to tell you something. To finiancize (get the money for it Laugh) i maybe need to lend some from you, that won't be much and you will get it back! First i'll go mining with a real live friend of mine (elconquistador) and broozteer if he wants, with that we get more then enough cobble, also some coal (always handy!) and some steel and gold. We also can use that but we also can sell it. About my system: Taxes for everyone, but if they become a soldier, they just have to pay a little bit of taxes. That makes we have enough soldiers and outside that they can have regular jobs like baker or something like that. Oh and yeah, i was thinking about a name system, the ruler of the capital, is the king. People like me ruling a other town or castle are called marquess or Duke (http://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adel#Groot-Brittanni.C3.AB). How do think about that?

Sounds good but I do not want to be called the king. A king represents Monarchy and that is not what my nation is. I'll be called the mayor or something like that.
