Hidden names.

Does anybody know if there's a plug-in that gives certain players the ability to hide their usernames? I was thinking soldier could use this. Of course it would be common sense that people with hidden names are lethal so sound the alarms and attack as soon as one is spotted!

I can see how this would help your city droid, meaning random players won't just stumble upon your city by seeing your names and digging/searching for the entrance.

This would be awesome in some cases. But also lethal in others.

Of course. Although I am thinking more about the new map with wars and etc. Not solely for my town but for te server.

Ah i see what your getting at now, it would be pretty good, but then it does have it's downsides :/
for instance, griefers could get away with quite abit. Unless we have anit griefing etc. then I'm sure it would work out pretty well.

I don't know how closely NOTCH guards modification to MC but perhaps a reduction to the range you see the name? Knocking it down 50% would do.

A constant fear, especially if you're in a chest hide out.

Once on a different server I heard what sounded like player injured sound effect coming from top side... I was in an underwater base at the time so it was worrying to think I had been discovered. I went up to find a nice neat pile of stuff floating in the water... I guess someone had heard my burning fireplace below and decided to dig but forgot to breath. He had a nice pickaxe!

Such as gravel on top of a layer of dirt or something so that when someone takes that dirt away, all that gravel falls on their heads Tongue
