moving teh town
Alright, so I know that you can move a town's buildings and such with world edit but can you move the town's boarders instead. We're trying to revive Aurora but we want to completely redesign the place, however if some poor inactive member logs on and finds his house is magically gone he/she is obviously going to get pissed. So I was wondering, can we just move the town's boarders somewhere else? that way we can not only rebuild really quickly but also be more organized (V.I.P plots ). so just wonderin'
You wot?

RE: moving teh town
If some poor inactive member logs on and finds that their house is still in a town that taxes, they're not going to be a part of the town anyways. That's basically the reason I supported taxes in Aurora, it got rid of the inactive folk.
Anyways, keep talking.

RE: moving teh town
I dont think this can happen, you could buy more town plots around what you already have though?

I think generally one would just demolish the stuff in their borders now and rebuild with new buildings.

That would be the normal case. But seeing as he already posted this, might as well see what they say.

RE: moving teh town
I remember the last time we moved a town. It resulted in the server lagging out for a good five hours or so.
