I was thinking a metaphorical fire in her heart, but that works too, I suppose.

RE: Create your role player!
Name: Asterik.
Nick name: Lore.
IC Age: 34
Race: Human.
Profession: Mercenary for hire, slowly retiring to miner and guard.
Background: Not much is known about Asterik's history, mostly because he doesn't remember most of it. His earliest recollection is washing up on the shores of Kiwike in tattered robes. He managed to make his way to Mavenholm, where a kindly man by the name of Suba found him collapsed by the fountain. "Come with me, stranger. Together, maybe we can discover your history."

Suba lead him far to the north of Mavenholm, to a city known as Eyvind, where they consulted the great library there. There, they found a clue to his past by way of his name, Asterik. The Asterik clan, nationals of a far away continent, were great redstone workers, capable of doing anything you could imagine with redstone. It was rumored they even unlocked the secret of vertical redstone wiring. However, when they tested Asterik's skill with redstone, it quickly became apparent that he had no such skill; he accidentally blew the house they were in off the face of Kiwike.

Asterik stayed in Eyvind for a great while, until Suba's warmongering came to light. Not wanting to witness the bloodshed of war, Asterik gathered what little he considered valuable and struck out on his own, heading to the wintry hills further north. There, he carved out a little hovel, until one day, on a supply run to Maven, he met a man named Narazkaly. "I am a man devoted to peace. Come, I will show you Nosaka, the town I run." said he, and Asterik followed.

Set in a vast desert, the great stone walls of Nosaka were a sight to see, rising from the ground as though they were a mirage. Inside the walls was a beautiful oasis, and Asterik fell in love with it. Building a small home for himself out of native sandstone and wood, it was then that Asterik discovered his proficiency at mining. Leaving on an extended mining trip that lasted months, he was shocked when he came back to find that his home had changed. Instead of the lush, green oasis, there was cold, uncaring stone. Even the town name had changed, from Nosaka to Midgar. Finding his house demolished and it's valuables plundered, Asterik once again set out alone.

4 months passed, with Asterik passing from town to town in a desperate attempt to find where he belonged. He lost half his face in a creeper attack and as a result, took to wearing robes that covered his face. His name was forgotten. He simply was the 'Cloaked Wanderer', a moniker he happily accepted. Shortly after him leaving Dracko through the Nether Rail, he bumped into a most curious creature, a cross between a gecko and a squid. "I've heard of you, traveler." said he. "They say you wander because you are looking for a home. Why not give Sunset Alley a go?" "And watch as it crumbles around my feet, when no one comes back from the exploration patrols? No, thank you." Asterik replied, turning away. Geckosquid, as he had introduced himself, caught Asterik by the shoulder and said "Come with me, traveler. Sunset Alley will not fall so easily as you think. Let's make it strong together."

These days, Asterik spends his days mining for building materials, to construct Sunset Alley. Though construction goes slow, he enjoys the work. When the sun starts it's descent to night, he can often be found on the roof of the City Hall, basking in the glow. If you're lucky, you might catch the glimpse of a smile underneath the cloak. If you're extremely lucky
Hobby: Mining, basking in sunsets.
Guild: None.
