What's happened in the server so far? -in bulletpoints!

Something occured to me last time on the subject of griefing or raiding being allowed.

The problem as I see it is that you can build the best defences possible and hide your chests behind 50 blocks but whatever you do is generally pointless. When you log off they have huge amounts of time to find your home and rob it blind. I'm not sure if something like this existed on the old server but would a system were by you can only attack / raid someones home or village when they are online and can defend it. Other wise you're just playing on singleplayer mode - loading maps and brutalising empty towns...

This would lead to arranged battles which are frankly more interesting and gives everyone a chance to be there for the event, it stimulate the economy as well.

Constructive thoughs?

This is always the problem with wars and theft on an RP server. Some things just do not translate well from 'real life' to a game. My opinion is to condone theft, in the sense of stealing from chests which are ACCESSIBLE. Chests which are hidden underground, behind obsidian walls or locked doors cannot be reached without griefing.

You did start something. You griefed my house, wrecked my farm, and stole my paintings. Revenge is sweet.

I disagree, there may be other ways but 2 come to mind.

- Don't tell anyone and I mean ANYONE, unless you trust them like your flesh and blood that the location won't be revealed. I haven't yet lost a home to griefers. "I'm a nice person I won't grief, you can trust me" Oh boy golly lets be bestest friends, here checkout all my hidden chests!!! But don't tell anyone! (Sorry, sarcasm is fun)

- Hide it properly. If you can reach your *hidden* town before the sun goes down it's not very far away.
I once travelled 3 sun sets to reach my home. You could argue that if you die it'll take ages to get back - Well don't die then, I haven't died in 5 days. Imagine you're in the (in discussion by notch) Hardcore mode were if you die it deletes the save file. The second the sun kisses the surface before darkness I'm indoors, even if that means 10mins in a hole in the ground with nothing to do but wait, and not be dead.

Also on a side note Android you've often said you like the adventure of travelling a long way to new lands. Well get together with one or two TRUSTED friends go and find a new land you like the look of VERY far away.
