I agree with yotta that you don't need more than 4 cores, however.. The new X6 processocers have a function that allows it to disable 3 of the cores and overclock the remaining 3 cores when using applications that does not have support for 6 cores.

From what I heard, having 8 GB RAM with 6 cores is a waste. You should get 3, 6 or 12 GB if you have 6 cores.

(No idea about this, someone who sounds smart said this somewhere)

^False story. XD I have a 6 core processor with 8 gigs of RAM and it uses all 8.

I have a Quad Core processor and I use at tops 74% of my 4GB of RAM. So whoever was saying that to you was bullshitting.

Well. Ive been looking at specs and recently ive seen the GTX 560 Ti is about 10 fps lower then the 570 and $100 cheaper. =P
