RE: The Knights of Dusk
The Guild really did have quite a cool history to it, after reading that post there.

RE: The Knights of Dusk
Your names can remain the same, but the connections are lost. As far as recruiting goes, there isn't a world for even letters sent anonymously to be recieved, is there? So it really wouldn't make sense, but the compromise is to allow a small amout of recruiting unless it's in character. And by small amount, I really mean that we don't want any.

RE: The Knights of Dusk
Back when I was in charge we often tried to keep recruiting RP by giving tasks to applicants. The general process would be to apply via PM on the forums, then you would receive a letter from The Black Sun with the location of the entrance to the maze, it would be up to you to complete the maze and leave a sign signifying you had made it to the locked door outside the base (generally with a code word of some sort, often another player's name for example). Thieves would then report signs to me or I would check them regularly. After I found the sign the applicant would get anothet pm from The Black Sun which would detail an application task that had to be completed (such as constructing a base, mapping out a town, stealing a certain number of diamonds) once the task was done they would be told how to get through the maze (the correct path always had torches on the right-hand wall) and would be given the code to the city. After the guild progressed a little they would get access to a basic vault, once they proved loyalty they would be granted access to the Great Vault (the one being built in Coranis, with a prototype in the first base) where we would store the most valuable items we stole. Don't know if that system works for you but it was fairly good for getting the guild started.

RE: The Knights of Dusk
Oh my god, that post reminded me of before that lock was installed. I remember I had to dig that wall in the side back by like 30 blocks or something. Took fucking forever, and even then I only made it a little less than halfway after 5 days or so of work
