And yes, we have reasons as to why we haven't released much information yet.

I would also like to mention that the RP is not going to be text based like TheCreator suggests. Using /me will be optional for the most part.

think about the respawn timer its really annoying when raiding a town you kill them once they just insta respawn

There are ways to fix that too. Although they're pretty annoying. There's one Minecraft server that kicks you and then bans you for about 20 minutes. But a 20 minute respawn time is annoying, and kicking would only be even more annoying if it's just a few seconds.
It can be done by teleporting the characters to a closed off area, and then back to the spawn point after a given time.

Alltho handy when raiding towns, it's pretty stupid when you die from a surprise creeper or from fall damage.
This does however fixes the issue where you can simply /kill yourself to heal instead of eating food, which isn't really realistic. 20 minutes is a long time tho, I suggest 2 minutes at max, maybe increasing a bit every time you die in a set time.

Well, this is a really productive discussion. But it actually has absolutely nothing to do with original thread purpose. I think a brainstorming thread would be nice to have.

I disagree with a respawn timer. I, for one, am not waiting to come back into the game - that would make this server insanely dumb.

I think we have to realize that as far as RP goes, we've chosen a really shitty game to try and make realistic.

Minecraft has never been realistic at all, so that is not really what we're trying to do.
