RE: 1.2 Soon
Not cince you can breed em gecky
But regardless, something MUST be done about iron grinders. With rates such as 147 ingots per minute, if even one is made it would shatter the economy. At least, any part that relied upon iron. And if anything is seen as a behavioural pattern in minecraft is that players will find away. I mean, I can already think of simple, and complex ways you could corrale testificates. Water and pistons are both plausible options, but the main way I believe they are gathered fro such grinders is thru the tendency of them to move towards doors. They arent quite as difficult as one would hope. I think that the only real way to get around them would be to prevent Iron golems from spawning or to change the item they drop to something else. I think it might be cool if they dropped flint or feathers since zombies have stopped dropping feathers and grinding flint is too difficult. TL R, We must fix Iron Golems.

Jee, Bowser. That's quite a bit of information that probably should have been kept quiet to the general public...

Don't moan about something they may have fixed, but yeah people will just kill all the NPC if there is a Iron grinder anyhow it not a bid deal

I'm not sure you fully understand the extremity of the rates that you can get iron form these grinders. We are talking 4 full inventories an hour. That is 1000 blocks per hour. If one person afked at a spawner for one hour, iron would literally be worth less then dirt. Immediately. and from what I've seen they aren't hard to build. And DJ, to kill the npcs one has to get to the npcs. If someone made a spawner deep underground they could potentially afk there for periods of hours at a time, almost completely safe. This needs to be fixed. I don't think iron should be cheaper than any other block I mean COME ON.
