RE: A Nickname Plugin
Just learn who someones rp name is when you meet them, you'd have to ask them then anyway, not like you already knew... You only have to know the names of people you meet, not learn them from OOC while their nickname is displayed.

If the name in chat is different in game are different, asdf, it'd be hard to correlate between the speaker in the chat and the player in the game. This is talking about a gathering of more than two people, of course.

RE: A Nickname Plugin
I know. What I mean is if there was a pluggin that changed the name, itd only be in chat. It would be displayed in OOC correct? The name would still be displayed above their head as their account name, I know. What I was saying is whats the point of this when for one you cant even see it above their head, and two, all itd do is make OOC insane, and then of course the un RP aspect of everybody learning each others in character name from OOC chat, before ever meeting them.

RE: A Nickname Plugin
I think Spout is able to display two lines in the name above the player's head.

Maybe local chat could show names like this: "RP Name [Minecraft Name]"

That would be great. It would require Spout, but seeing as it wouldn't give Spout users any actual advantage, it should be fine.

Actually, for doing it in chat, it shouldn't be a problem

RE: A Nickname Plugin
I was thinking about putting it in the local chat, the problem is that the chat can seem clustered by all the tags and names.
