Unreasonable banning

My character wtyuio was banned for mass crop griefing and to my knowledge i could pick up crops and it would not be counted as griefing.

From my understanding, you had also destroyed the stalks and such that were connected to the pumpkins and melons.

There are some blocks that are not considered building blocks and may be stolen at any time:
- Iron Block / Ore
- Gold Block / Ore
- Diamond Block / Ore
- Lapis Lazuli Block / Ore
- TNT
- Wheat (Please do replant it if you have the time)
- Melons, pumpkins (Only if next to a stem)

I'm not entirely sure if this part should be modified to be more clear, but it's saying that pumpkins and melons can only be taken if next to a stem, meaning they are in a farm of some sort, but it does not mention allowing one to destroy the stalk besides it.

The reasoning behind this is that one could easily take the melon or pumpkin and turn it into seeds, so taking the stalk for this purpose is void, and only causing an unnecessary amount of 'grief' to the person you're taking it from.

Note that I won't take into account your destroying of the bottoms source block of a reed, as in, where the reed grows from. This wasn't stated in the rules but I am making a quick update.

I don't want to come off as a dic, but I don't think people are understand what a raid is. Its not like people are breaking through cobble to get into one's chest, people are doing what raiders did back in reality. I think that we should be able to raid farms to no tomorrow, because that is what raiding is. If going into someone's pin and killing all of their animals isn't griefing, then how is that any different to going into someone's farm a killing all of their crops?

Also, is there a better place where I can make a thread to fully discuss this individually?

We already allowed for taking of most of the crops (wheat, pumpkin, melon, top reed blocks), what more can a raider want? >.>
And wtyuio practically cleared entire fields of crops. I only banned him because of the melon and pumpkin stalks, which like droid said, is void since you can get seeds from the pumpkins and melons he stole. I ignored the wheat greif cause it is allowed, as well as the bottom reed blocks because it wasn't stated in the rules.

And besides, who would want to stay on a server on which all of their crops were getting completely destroyed?

I understand your sense of realism, but it couldn't possibly match the will of those wanting to leave.

People get just as frustrated from the slaughter of their animals as they do of raiding from their farms. (I know this from experience)
But if one were to complain towards the raiding of their animals, all one would say is: "Protect them better." So I say everyone just needs to have better protection, or just buy some bread from someone who has a very nice wheat farm *cough*.

Anyways, I'm not a mod, so I will stop badgering you guys about my complains toward raiding. Sorry :/

I would like to point out that the destroying of steams was never stated to be ban worthy so i think that i believe i deserve at least a warning.
