The First Move
Good job my son.... You are in. You know what I seek, and therefore I expect to posses it within the hour.

RE: The First Move
Inkscale awakes with a start. He could swear he heard a voice, but such things are not possible without company. 'It must have simply been the wind whistling through a crack in the ceiling,' he thinks to himself. Lying down once more, he tries to sleep, but the words whispered to him by some unknown force echo through his head. No more sleep will come tonight.

Gecko

RE: The First Move
You imbecile. I gave you a chance when none would. Your violent nature put people off, but I gave you the chance... and you failed me. Nontheless, I have gained what I seek from someone else. You are of no worth to me now.

*A cloaked figure stands up from behind a desk and stares into the man's eyes. The man cannot hold the gaze and turns away. His decision made for him, the figure draws a sword from behind and approaches the man. Lifting the sword high in the air, an arrow hits the man in the neck and he falls to the ground dead, never to be seen in Kiwike again.

With a nod of acknowledgement to someone in the back, the figure walks to his desk and removes a pawn from the board. Turning to the sword he whispers, "Not yet, my friend. It is not time. But don't worry, for soon the streets will run red with blood. Very soon."

I thank you very much for your cooperation. This information is quite interesting. I hope you know that I will take all necessary precautions, and inform the affected persons. It was good of you to leave them.

Godmund feels uneasy as he walks, as if someone were watching him. "Damn witch," he mutters to himself, attributing the feeling to a past incident

A note is found on the pillow of everyone living in Kiwike.

As you lay your head down to sleep, and my first move becomes complete, you think that you're safe. You're right. For I am watching.

Gekk-va-Ro-Kaa opens his eyes and slips out of his meditative state. A note lies next to him. Turning slowly, he reads it. Shaking his head, he says to the horizon, "A god needs no protector." Nonetheless intrigued, he writes upon the other side of the note:

You may proclaim yourself a guardian, but you have yet to prove yourself. We must speak; god to protector.

~A friend

Gekk casts the note into the wind. Perhaps this individual will stumble upon it.

RE: The First Move
Ronguor returns to a small tent he has set up for himself after a long day of travelling. He sees the note and panics. 'Have bandits come while I was away?'

Reading the note, he thinks 'Oh, bother, how nice of a fellow to watch over all of us like that', and goes to sleep.
