RE: Build me a computer.
GTX 560 TI is a great budget graphics card. Definitely get that if your budget isn't too big. It probably cant run BF3 on ultra but I doubt that is what you're looking for. I suck at budget CPUs though.

IDies list looks great. I still have an old Phenom II 945 which is decent so a 965 should be just fine.

I'm getting the Radeon 7850, thoughts?

I got the GTX 560ti. I run every modern game on the highest.

I imagine you have the 2 GB one.

RE: Build me a computer.
Yea, the 560 Ti has a difficult time with battlefield 3 and better games on maximum (ultra) graphics, it dips down to below 25FPS for me. Arma II drops down to about 25 to 35 FPS on maximum at lowest. However, my new GTX 680 can run any game on maximum graphics with well over 40FPS (usually over 60FPS), but it does cost twice that of the 560 Ti. I'd say it all depends on your budget with the graphics card because there is such a wide range of options.

Yeah, it's pretty hard to recommend parts when you only say there's a budget but not if it's low, mid or high end parts that you want. Are you okay with playing the newer games on low settings or do you want a proper PC that lasts for a few years?

RE: Build me a computer.
Dude.. Keep in mind, when getting a completely new computer you need the $200 actual operating system, monitor (atleast $100 for anything above 20", which I'm assuming you'd want...) You probably already have a mouse and keyboard, but if you use a macbook, or an Imac you dont want to just through or still going to use it for other purposes (school, work, idk, what ever you do), you'd need a new keyboard and mouse. And obviously you'd want to spend atleast $80 on those, you can get a keyboard pretty cheap, but if you want to play all the games you are missing out, you'll want a decent mouse.

So, you should clarify what else you'll need besides just a computer.

I recommend this mouse: http://store.apple.com/us/product/H7359Z...MTY1NDA1Mg (Mainly cuz of its coolness) :3

And I recommend this... http://store.apple.com/us/product/FC509LL/A Of course, you'd want to buy Windows 7 and run it in bootcamp afterwords, but you know... Mac > PC. Trust me, its tough going to a PC from a Mac, my brother switched to a PC because he was cheap and now after a year is saying how he regrets getting the "piece of crap". He claims all of the issues with the computer hes had is the hardware, and that it isnt the systems fault, its just the product, although his computer has almost exactly what my 4 year old Imac has. (btw, I havnt had any issues with this thing other than a wrong part bought (wrong memory, upgraded it to 8gigs but the memory wasnt the correct one for this computer, ordered the correct pair and now have it working great) and one internet issue that was later found out to be our crappy providers)

RE: Build me a computer.
You're crazy! PCs are way better than macs, not even taking into account the cost! for that amount of money, you could get a PC that is much more reliable, powerful, and will give you better options for the future. I don't know what you are going from there, but all gaming computers are PCs because of the cheaper cost for the same parts, better upgrade-ability (or should I say any upgrade-ability), more options to begin with. If you are going for being able to play any game with decent FPS on anything higher than bare minimum settings, then you need something much more powerful than any mac cheaper than $2500, a home-built $1000-$1500 PC sounds like the right choice to me. However, I do agree that the mouse that asdf recommended is awesome.

RE: Build me a computer.
All the RATS are terrible for long gaming sessions as they are very uncomfortable in your hand due to the odd shape, if you want a decent mouse just get thwe Blackadder, its one of the cheapest gaming mice but it has all you need.

Oh and don't listen to asdf, bootcamping is really laggy and makes performance while using Windows really glitched and laggy, if you don't like how Windows is navigated you can simply get a Mac theme. This would change all the ways to navigate and make windows look like the Mac OP
LOL just looked at asdfs recommendation in more detail, old gen i3 and a 500mb graphics card for over 1000bucks.... That could be built for like 500 bucks with better ram and everything. Dem macs
