Firstly, I want everyone except for Riskae and the Solitudians to leave this thread. This is getting way out of control. You're hurling shit at each other and we have gotten absolutely nowhere since the first post in 8 whole pages.

I'm seriously disappointed in this community right now. What should have been a discussion immediately regressed into whining banter. I'm talking to almost everyone in this thread when I say this.

The citizens of Solitude realize something that many others apparently don't: this is just a game. We can fight each other, and we can appeal to ban each other when things go awry, but at the end of the day, will dying in Minecraft affect your actual lives whatsoever? The answer, for the less intellectually inclined among us, is a resounding no, no, no.

It has been proven throughout human history that the best way to be united and strong is to have someone to aggress on; a common enemy. Solitude is providing you guys with something that you refuse to appreciate: A cause. If their need for power angers you, channel that into your character, bolster your forces, and do your damn best to beat the shit out of them. What enemy is more perfect than one who wants the world to kneel before them in worship? If we permanently banned people for minor acts of metagaming and slight breaks of rules, we would have almost nobody on the server. Instead of spending your energy on trying to get them banned, stock up on resources and fight back. And finally, for the sake of everything good in this world, stop whining.

I'm sorry that I have not left this thread Gecko, but it us impossible for me to do so after this comment.

A common enemy is a group or individual who makes people love to hate them. They make a character that puts their fingers in everyone's pie and will do whatever they want to make them be hated.

What they do NOT do is cause issues repeatedly that require multiple bans, warnings, and disciplinary action and makes it so everyone simply hates them. The entire community rose up to support action against this group because they have issues with them. Whether or not they are in the right is not the issue, but they are simply an issue for the server.

And to add ooh issues to influence ic actions is straight metagaming. The simple fact that you proffered that suggestion made me disappointed.

I have no stance on this argument, because I have not been directly affected, but there are times when a Devils Advocate is needed, else an issue will never be resolved.

There is always wars going on, its human nature, you just need to accept it for what it is and try to fight back, thats how it works, an RP server with no fighting is not RP.

P.S. When you are on their side, they arn't assholes... So you know... Its not like they turn around to everybody on the server and be assholes to them. They they're all pretty cool to about half the server (You know, about half the active community is Solitude).

Minor acts? This thread needs the input of the entire community. This shows how we as the users feel about it and everyone should come post there viewpoints and be heard. Certainly do refrain from posts like Ians or simple flaming however. Gecko, I only play on one server, Kiwike, and as I do like playing with friends on the server I can't really do that the way it's been going. Being an RP server is for the sake of froming a greater bond for the community which cannot be achieved from something like what solitude is doing. We should be able to have wars without this animosity, but it is the way that solitude has been acting which is causing all this. I believe I am speaking for a majority of the server when I say that Nlewis and Pwol need to be banned. So accusing us of whining? Really? Fuck that, this is a problem of the community and everyone here deserves a say in this not Just me and a few choice mods.

I'm sorry Gecko but I am absolutely against what you just said, if Gecko says you guys shouldn't post here well that isn't fair. I guess we can make a new topic, however I think this conversation should be allowed to continue as a community convo because this is a situation that involves everyone. I can't really over rule what a mod says but I encourage you guys to continue posting your opinions on this topic whether it be in this forum or another. If you want to remain anonymous you should PM droid, yota, or the other mods. But please do get your feelings out there to be heard.

And therein lies the problem with the community. I speak as a primary target of their raiding, by the way. There is no way to let the community descend without copious flaming, as you can easily see. Therefore, we have to solve this internally. The people complaining are the same people who have been complaining from the very beginning. These are the people who take every IC issue they don't like OOC. It has been quite consistent. Can't we all just play the game?

We're trying to unite. It only just started today, give us a break. But, this isn't just about the attacks, Gecko. It's about the rules. I guess nobody's look at the list of broken rules from today yet:
Raiding without Permission multiple times
Burning of items
Minor grief
Metagaming
Assisting an alt of someone who is permabanned

Do four or five blocks destroyed in a hurry really ruin your game experience? I doubt it. If you're so adamant about it, let them replace the blocks by not chasing them down.

Raiding without permission is for yotta to decide on. I personally think a ban on raiding, especially with their new RP reasoning, hinders the RP spirit of the server significantly.

No it isn't as a mod you should know that others have already been banned for burning items and that we are talking about every thing they have done ever. What happened yesterday is just one event among many many more. People have been banned for harboring x-rayers so why not alts used to bypass bans? That comment about metagaming is such bullshit and shows that we could pretty much ban everyone on the server for it. 4 or 5 blocks every day starts to get a bit annoying. I am honestly disappointed to see that a mod would make a post like this. I can't believe you are defending such obvious rule breaking and I am really sad that you would sit there and deny the community the right to speak on something when even the points you listed have already all been addressed.

Talking about Godfrey's house which was fixed and not a main point. They weren't chased down, though. Godfrey watched as they did it, knowing he couldn't fight back. They replaced the floor in an order they most certainly knew wrong. That's grief. It was dealt with, and they were unbanned to fix it. But, it happened today, so I threw it in here

Their RP reasoning is "You stepped into our courthouse, so you signed a bill. That means we harass everyone anytime we want, and if not, we go to war" That is retarded RP, and that should be ENTIRELY discouraged. It's a thinly veiled excuse to harass people and/or go to war. So, why should the ban not be in effect?

Gecko, I know you said for only them to stay in this thread.

First of all, I want them to know that i'm not ranting, nor trying to get them banned for being complete douches, but rather for the rules, and gameplay. Personally, they have ruined the game for me. When i'm on the computer, i'm constantly looking for another game to play, something to pass the time rather than Minecraft. For the past two weeks I have had to hide in a hole due to me being singled out by Solitude as their number one enemy, and KOS'd on sight.

Organizing that army you speak of? Not as easy as you would think. As already said more than enough player have quit the server due to the antics of the Solitude people, and those that are still here, and stating the rules and as to why they should be banned, are those that still have hope, and still want to play the server. I want to play the server, but I don't have an option. I sit in a hole, and do nothing. I don't have a choice.

They bring the conflict that RP needs to the server? I beg to differ. Since Revamped has started, very little RP has taken place without conflict due to them. Little community projects take place, heck, I would be scared to even try to organize a community project in the fact that they would show up and kill. Don't say the "Its your fault for not being prepared, defend yourself" crap. Some of us have things to do outside of this game, work, school, and family matters. We cant be on all day unlike the majority of those in Solitude. I would love to see them gone, just to get some real RP in the server. Nearly every RP interaction over the past month has been to either organize a resistance group, or to try to make a peace treaty.

Minecraft is just a game. All of us know that, and you know what I like most in games? To enjoy them. I'm not going to sit here all day and play QWOP when it makes me want to rage. I like to have some enjoyment in the games I play, when I play them. Not a fear of hopping online to see the town you are living in being torn apart in front of your eyes, and then you murdered seconds later.

Their so called "Dictator" RP? Bull. Its just a reason for them to attack someone. They can sit there and demand a huge amount of Diamonds, Iron, or Gold that cannot be satisfied by any player at this point of time. When they demand these items for a peace treaty, they know they are going to get a firm "No.". Upon hearing this? RP reason to not have a peace treaty and to fulfill there oh so desire to PvP endlessly.

Burning of the items? Huge dick move in my case. If its just a game, why should they play it so hardcore? Isn't the point of raiding to steal and bail? What is the point of stealing anymore if you cannot carry anymore? Therefore, why should that raid continue? Oh but no, they are doing it so you wont get the items. They shouldn't even be messing with the items if they got what they came for, and their inventory is full. But yet they still run around the town for who knows how long reeking havoc.

Excuse my language, but get your god damn facts straight. You are a long time friend of mine Gecko, and I hate saying that to you. Everyone is biased one way or another, but the facts are against them Gecko, and its time for action to be taken against them. Oh, and your comment on being a direct attack of their raiding? You have experienced nothing until you are in my situation, or in Bowser's. I speak as a prime target of them, and one of that has his gameplay ruined.
