A Public Message to Promethia

On the desk of Coras, the letter dropped. The little bird scurries away, avoiding the hungry looks of the citizens of Luca.*

Coras,

On behalf of the Council of Eil, and from the personal pen of the Council Member Whitey, we write with a great lack of pleasure. The Elves of Eil are a peaceful faction, territory, and people, who have done not but support your nation previously.

Promethia's claim of our debt to you, or requested repayment has been found utterly pretentious and a move at pressing undeserved guilt for the sole purpose of greed. The claims, which have been demanded several times, including the most recent upset towards our party at Dauntless, have been agreed unanimously to be founded on false modification of fact.

The result of Promethia's failure to obtain peace is not, and never has been, the fault of Eil. The current conflicts between your land and the forces of New Phalinx under King Asdf are founded upon the past result of your choice to maintain the dying conflict of the Nomad Wars. The Elves of Eil had only supported Promethia as an ally up until that point, and it is found offensive that in any way we should be considered to blame.
We must remind you, at this time, that it is our support of Promethia in the past that has led to our own losses, in multiple chapters of the conflict with the Southern Coalition and Solitude. In comparison, these damages are far greater than any damage you claim we have left on your land.
Any accusations of the the de-establishment of The United Nations Act causing your short fallings is utterly preposterous, and void of any reason.

The Elves of Eil refuse to give any sort of monetary or material wealth for the purpose of these demands.

A blue footed booby waddles into Luca, clearly trying to catch up to the Kiwi. A letter is strapped to its back, and it collapses upon entering Coras's office. After furiously pecking at the ribbon holding the letter to its person, it detaches it. Nudging it toward's the desk, it quickly turns around and waddles back out of the town.

Our hatred for one another is well known, and i'm not going to avoid the subject at hand. After speaking with Whitey on the matter for quite some time, I felt the need to write a letter presenting my point of view on the matter.

To be frank, I am not pleased. I am never pleased with your decisions, and I never will be. But this is a new low, even for Promethia. To demand diamond for your faults is beyond that of Lewis and Wolby, and it brings you to a new light. The previous letter states the main details of this matter, so I shall not ramble on. I will simple say that I am going to be staying to Eil for a short time, to ensure you do not bring anymore of your ridiculous accusations into this land.

To the Council of Eil,

This is another absurd and drastic action by a group who has been marred by such actions as of late. The incident at Dauntless was remarkably absurd on your end, and now I see this letter, proving to be a mere mockery rather than a letter expressing serious concern. You even attempted to blame us for the irrational actions of Wolby and Lewis! How unreasonable can you get?

But, it saddens me that an ally we were so close to would write such a letter. Perhaps we can sit down and have a rational conversation. These idle threats on both ends are getting us nowhere, and it would be beneficial to none for us to go to war.

As for my letter Leech, I am not a council member, merely a nomad that is protecting Eil. First, Mephisto. You, one of the two leaders of Promethia, and probably the only sane one. I would expect something better of you than to state that the nation leaders of Eil are making your nation "grief".

Leech, now to you. Your letter is much better than Mephisto's, although it still targets Eil, I am not mad, nor angry. We targeted you in our letters, so you are correct to do the same. I feel it is best that you arrange a meeting between your incompetent leaders, and the council members of Eil, so long as they drop their demand of "Diamond armor", I'm sure Eil is ready to listen.

Yes I one of the three leaders of Promethia am inclined to say something more than I have in response to lies? I think not, such drivel nary deserves a reply on my part. If Eil needs speak to us, and this isn't the attempt at public defamation it seems to be, then we are happy to listen as we have always been they know where to find us.

Our pretentious uninformed lies? Please, elaborate on that. Eil understands that Promethia is hurt by the disbandment of TUNA, but as Eil remembers, the act had outlived its self. Its sole purpose was to combat the Solitude raids, and seeing as they are gone from this land, the Act had no purpose. Now you claim that we are conspiring against you, how ridiculous can you be? Words may have been said about how Eil is unhappy about your style of leadership, but nothing has ever come from it. You people are far from talking, as seen during the Dauntless incident. You were unreasonable, overly hostile and doing nothing but spouting sensationalist claims, yet you act as if you were in the right, and Eil was out of line. I am sure our members would love to head to Promethia, and listen to the leader of another nation about how much greif we have caused. You sir, must be very diluted or a madman. You fabricate lies and slander, for the sake of what!? You claim that we hold petty grudges against Promethia for the actions of one person, but as it would seem the whole of Promethia arrived at Dauntless! We are holding a fair number of you responsible for your shameful actions, Including Coras, and yourself. The leaders of the nation, and a fair sized body are more than one individual. I ask you, absurd on who's end? We come into Dauntless weary from a hard fight, we joke and laugh, and the whole of Promethia arrives to defend a town which is under attack from whom? As I said to Mephisto, your people were unreasonable, overly hostile and doing nothing but spouting sensationalist claims. You ignore this letter, and act as if it is nothing more than a joke! Serious concern is debatable, seeing as how the relation between two nations, after an incident such as this would seem to be an important issue. Eil has been wronged by Promethia, and we expect them to take notice! We have easly lost the diamonds you demand during raids from Wolby and Lewis, who raided us on the idea that we were mere allies with Promethia! We have died from fighting with Solitude, a fight that we were brought into for Promethia. I was expecting a rational reply, asking for a meeting between our two nations. All I got was ignorance by Promethia's leader, and a letter denying any wrongful actions on Promethia's behalf.

Leech reads the letter and is outraged by what he sees. Shaking with anger, his handwriting turns sloppy. He attempts to write in a civilized manner, although rage has grasped him

I read your letter as a joke because it is little more than that. You come to the town of my ally, harass his citizens, and act like you own the lands! You made threats inconceivable by "peace-loving elves." The actions of Eil at the town of Dauntless were unacceptable, and your behavior was worse than that of the rats on the street. You should be holding yourselves to a higher standard. And, once again, you act as though the actions of Solitude and the Southern Coalition could be rationalized and blamed on us. I have met plenty of fools in my years, but none who would make a thick-skulled statement such as that, except for you. Solitude attacked because they wanted to attack, not because you were allied with us. If anything, having us in the war with you saved you from more battles, since we took the brunt of it. Perhaps the idea of paying us was odd, but that was no excuse for your childish and crude behavior. I hope that any further letters you write may involve previous thought.

A large wolf, dyed a deep coat of red and noticable stains of much darker red surround its paws and jaw, a large black collar encrusted with gold and labeled "Grand" walks into the towns of Eil and Promethia and leaves a letter at the doorsteps of the leaders.

To the victims and orchestrators of the current fighting amongst the nations of Eil and Promethia.

The Vermilion Dominion is hereby stating its position on these matters.

The Elves of Eil have been very kind, and have shown us no signs of aggression. Promethia on the otherhand has always been a quite sketchy nation and poses a threat to the peaceful nation of Eil. The Vermilion Dominion will remain sided with the Elves of Eil, Promethia's past with us has been one of distrust and war. Promethia has made many mistakes and is now trying to blame them on Eil, if any hostile actions are taken against the Elves of Eil, The Vermilion Dominion will aid them in their efforts.

Coras and Myphisto are symbols to their own downfall.

It's hard to trust a group who has driven themselves into the ground multiple times in an effort to be a nuisance to Promethia. We reached out to you in kindness, but instead you warmongered, like a simple savage. You've already destroyed the Vermilion Dominion once, and you did us the favor of killing Solitude by taking charge of it. Your town is named New Phalinx, which leads me to believe there was an old one, so you probably ran that into the ground as well. It's pathetic that I'm seeing criticism of Promethia by a failure of a leader such as yourself.
