Once again I have an issue with this post. This is a huge Meta-game. If you do not know what that means GOOGLE it. Anything you learn in Global chat cannot be knowledge that you know in game. It is apparent that a proper lesson needs to be given.

if someone did say this in-game global chat it is something that you cannot use in game....This post "Calling someone out" is bad Form...if your character had this info and wanted to share it with the populous I suggest you make an RP post....and worry about the repercussions.

Double agent or not that is an RP situation, not a real life one...Make it that way.

If you "leaked this info to everyone....Say *posted on the walls of every major city*

You would be worried that "the rat" might seek you out. By posting this way you have ruined what he may or may not be trying to do with "his character". He might be a double agent...Your approach is bad, your purpose fine. Re-think it.

Unfortunately, you seem to be confusing this with a hardcore RP server. No one follows RP rules besides 2-3 people. If you want real RP, this server probably isn't for you. The only RP aspect apparent that is really part of the game is the fact that factions are names and developed around certain people groups.

I picked this server, because I felt that I could help keep things streamline. I just don't see the point in posting Hearsay or Slanderous G-chat.

Honestly, I prefer Reshe's response. He runs a "spy" organization and advertised! Good RP. Posting the fact that Monkey likes Fish and Chips and Eyvind has fish and chips....POINTLESS. (My RP preference withstanding.)

It does serve a point. It lets everyone in his nation, as well as other nations, know that he can not be trusted and as such should not be allowed to roll with them... ever. That's the point.

You're whole argument for wanting it to "make sense" is based off of the idea that this server is focused, or even remotely interested in, RP... and it isn't.

People don't care about RP.

This is a PvP server, RP shouldn't even be in the name. RP doesn't exist but for the 2-3 that actually do it. RP is held to be completely irrelevant; not only by members of the community, but even by the staff.

In general, RP in Minecraft is a misnomer. RP doesn't mean anything on any server. To them, RP means "economy, classes, cities with names". I made a LENGTHY post in the general discussion on the minecraft forums about all of these "RP" servers that arn't RP at all. There are roughly 3 good RP servers that ACTUALLY RP correctly.

I like RP. I've done RP for several YEARS in G-mod on both lite and serious RP servers and was even a super admin for some time on one. This isn't an RP server. It's a PvP server. No one else (besides the 2-3) wants it to be an RP server. No one else cares. Your argument is going to fall on deaf ears as no one wants to put a iota of effort towards RPing.

I do agree with you at every point of your argument, and forgive the high RP horse I rode in on. If I am one of the only the 2-3 people on this server that give a shit about RP, I will swim upstream as long as I can put up with it. If I post my opinion about the relevance of a post, it is just that. If I want to try to make people CARE about RP, I will! I feel that it is my job and responsibility to. If nothing more to educate those that have no idea what it is.

I will offer up the RP angle every chance I get. There has been a great response from those that aren't familiar with it, so I will continue.

I hope that I will have a chance to RP on the road with Reshe, even if he just tries to kill me.

I do wish the server was more RP oriented but sadly it isn't, and people didn't join up to RP so no ones mind is going to be changed.
