They're... they're adding bats.

Tomorrow, Minecraft gets an update adding bats. Yes. The first flying creature they're adding is bats. Not birds, like a logical developer would do. No. Bats. Is anyone else slightly annoyed by this?

I think the bats are pretty nice. Well, they were. Until they added bat sounds. Oh god the squeaking.

I like the bats. It's a more unique feature true to the whole spirit of minecraft. Also, they're related to the name of the update. Also, get MoCreatures if you want birds

Minecraft's not mainstream like other developers, we should know this as they added riding pigs instead of a logical animal, such as horses

Chickens don't fly. My point is that if they have the capability to create flying creatures, why not add birds into the vanilla game?

I see no problem with this. If they can add bats I'm sure that they will add birds.

Bats would be a cool jump scare, or company in the mineshafts.
Birds however, would just prove to be a nuisance unless really rare.
