I already tried removing all switch ids from the towny settings and it apparently didn't work. I believe item_use is necessary after what happened to Eyvind.
I know it kinda ruins the RP parts, but it just doesn't really work in Minecraft. Without proper protection a town can be completely vanished in no time.

So you basically complain that a Beta version of a game with a free modification which has always been part of this server does not suit your playing stile, therefore the administrator should change it?

I am sorry to say this, but maybe this game or server does not yet provide what you are looking, therefore just get over it or go play Assasins Creed for god sake! We saw what a bunch of loons can do with an unprotected town of Eyewind and I speak on my behalf when I say that it is better this way.

Raiding an empty town is a real sign of manliness and I would also like to compliment you on your bravery Fuck that / Yao Ming

I still don't see a very good solution to the griefing problems this would cause. Sure, it would be awesome if thieves could actually raid towns but then there is no idea living in a town in the first place.
Eyvind was griefed as then had item_use for outsiders on, which made it possible for people to pour out buckets in the town. I don't see why we would allow this as the only thing it could do is griefing. I'm 100% for the switch usage though, people should at least be able to open doors and such.
