Droidopolis Policy Review
It has come to my attention that not all agree with our policies. I have thought long and hard about it and decided to review them. Posted in this topic are the new rules of Droidopolis. Please read thoroughly and comment.

Droidopolis Policies - Reviewed

City plan: There will be an inner and outer city, the inner city is to have a
walls graciously planned by stern23. Included within the inner city will be the
market square, a garden,  the mayor's residence, and the town square.
The outer city shall be planned as a grid according to the lot measurements below. The
grid shall start small but will be very easy to expand. All of the ground under
the lots will be dirt with grass for presentation purposes and a cobblestone sidewalk will outline
the lots. The purpose of this grid system is to show unison within the city with a bonus of
being extremely easy to expand.

Houses: every person is allowed a 10X10X11 lot for building space.
A sign to show the ownership of said plot
will be provided. The 11 blocks high will allow
for 3 floors, each being 3 blocks high. The main reason more than three floors is outlawed
is because it would take away from the beauty of the city. As the mayor, I of course want
the town to look good to residents and visitors alike. You will be allowed to mine
withing the boundaries of your lot however there will be a public pre-dug mine for everyone's use.
Once you buy the lot, it belongs to you officially and will forever until sold.
Once you own a lot, you may auction it, sell it, or rent it. The only farms allowed in the city limits are to be underground ones. These farms must also comply with your lot boundary. If one wishes to own a larger scale farm, they may build outside of the city limits for free. We also ask that this is not west
of the city as that is where we will be expanding. Finally, you must have residence IN Droidopolis city limits to be an official citizen. The owning of multiple lots is allowed but with a maximum of 3. It is suggested that one first buy a home, and if they then wish to create a shop, buy a second lot to do so. Any official shops inside of Droidopolis will be listed in the sub-forum.

Jobs:
Jobs will be lax due to the role-play of the server. Set out to be what you want
to be. Build, rent in Droidopolis, expand the city. Several job locations are in player run markets,
the Droidopolis Gaurd, and selling to the markets. Most of these are privately owned and run so the payment
depends on the owner but in the case of the Droidopolis Gaurd, armor, weapons, and housing is all provided
by the government as payment.

Politics:
Droidopolis is run by the mayor, Android. I do in fact listen to the citizens and try my best to meet their needs.
We feel our rules are lax enough that you do not feel any pressure or lack of representation. The common person's representation comes into play with the Minister of The People in the cabinet. He is to be voted on by the citizens of Droidopolis as the voice of the people to inform me of what the people want to see.

The following are the current positions in the cabinet:

Minister of Foreign Affairs -
Minister of Defense - Minecr4ft
Minister of Foreign Policy -
Minister of Agriculture -
Minister of The People -

Foreign Policy

We are completely open to any other nation wanting to be allies with one stipulation, you cannot be allies with any of our official enemies.

Our policies stated above are a reform of what we previously had. We do hope that these terms are accepted by a higher percentage of people. Please comment below with any suggestions or thoughts.

EDIT: Removed hotel and replaced with garden. Citizens will now be able to make hotels of their own.

EDIT 1/13/10: Removed the provided fence clause. They aren't really needed but citizens may put them up if they feel it necessary.

Re: Droidopolis Policy Review
Maybe remove the hotel in the inner city and replace it by making garden to make it look nicier. That way also citizens can make a hotel.

Re: Droidopolis Policy Review
You can make more hotels then 1, and maybe you can also make a drinking hall in the tavern? Just for meeting and things like that...

Like to join a cool city who is soon growing out to the second biggest city of Helvantar? And has order and rules?

Re: Droidopolis Policy Review
Oh yeah, the inner city should be a little bigger, so (if you want to) you can put in there the HQ of the senate, embassies and maybe even barracks.

Re: Droidopolis Policy Review
I thought of that before. But I have now decided to make the senate building in the political capitol, seperate from Droidopolis.
