Terra Deorum (WIP)
There I was, waiting on the ledge of the Mavenholm courtyard fountain.
What I was waiting for you may ask.. Nothing of grand importance - Captain Jack was away on a trip, but I had unknowingly travelled into town anyway in seek of a flying ship license. Upon the discovery of the Captain's long absence I rented room and board to await his return.
To pass the time I often sat on the ledge of the fountain and pondered the great mysteries of the lands, and continuously went over new ideas of flying ships to build. Like most days I only intended to eat, sleep, and draw - but that day a beautiful green and gold feather blew across the street and I was on my feet immediately. With the prowess of a tiger I ran after the ever-swirling spectacle. Eventually, the feather blew too high into the air to follow any further, and disappointed, I turned around to see I was directly in front of the library. With nothing else to do, I walked in and shuffled through the aisles looking for something to suit my interest. In vain I searched and searched through endless rows of block and resource literature until I saw a shining silver book on the top shelf titled 'The Legends of The Shipbuilders'. I reached for the book but slipped, knocking a dusty worn-out leather off of the shelf. As I picked up the book a piercing reflection caught my eye - the sun was shimmering off golden script scribbled across the beaten up cover.
I brushed off the rest of the dust in order to make out the two cursive words..
Terra Deorum.
Ondoubtably, the next thing I did was open the book, and what happened next is even still the hardest thing to believe. The library faded away, leaving nothing but the book and I in a seemingly endless black expanse. Suddenly another body appeared - a man. His voice brought a chill to my fingertips as he started to speak in a grim, cold voice, "This was once a great land, but will no longer exist by the time you have come upon this book. I have bound all the memories of the old world into this leather cover as a testament to the glory that once was Terra Deorum."
And before his lips closed the man has already completely faded away. I looked around as the darkness cleared and I found myself back in the library.
((This will hopefully be an interactive RP story, please let me know what you think - there may be character openings if you are interested))
