Landmines and TNT traps and such things of explosive might
So I'm looking into a few different ways to make TNT traps and landmines, and I was looking for clarification on how much TNT is appropriate to use.
For obvious reasons, there should be a limit, even though the line between TNT trap and grief has never been officially established. At the same time, placing only one block will rarely achieve the desired effect.
What do you think should be the restrictions on TNT blocks?
Everybody's opinions are welcome

I do not think they should be placeable in man made structures.

He's going for someone's Nether, i do believe. (Cough) It all depends, or at-least it should, on how you place the Tnt. If you have say two Tnt, one on each side, that would be more like a trap, or if you had 4 Tnt, two on each side. But having 4 Tnt going straight now, just to make a big annoying hole, that would be different. Also, you said a line has been established, what is it....?

Oh yes it has, I still remember the Viking war, when you couldn't walk over a road without it exploding. That's when the rule that you should never damage roads appeared. TNT is probably okay if you don't damage anything but nature like Bowser said.

What we'd classify a feasible tnt trap would only include one tnt block in it.

I've developed a TNT trap that uses 2 TNT's but doesn't cause any harm at all to the surrounding enviroment. However, it gives a 100% chance of killing the victim. Does this count as a feasible TNT traps?

Yea, if you somehow disable the tnt's way of destroying the surrounding area, you should be good to go.
If it fails to stop the destruction, however, you may be in trouble.

If it fails to stop the destruction, however, you may be in trouble. A water source prevents the destruction of objects through explosions.
