Skyrim: Daily Advice/Hints from Gecko
Hint #1: Head on over to Markarth and talk to the man outside the abandoned house that's on your right as you enter the city. Also: Do what the voice says. The reward is massive.
Hint #2: Don't fast travel unless you've already explored the area in between you and your destination. Exploration is insanely rewarding.
Hint #3: Go ahead and take up the offer presented to you by the Companions. You can always undo your decision later in the Companions questline.
Hint #4: Sell as much of the jewlery you find as possible, but pay close attention to how much money the vendor you're selling the goods to has left; if you sell an expensive item to a vendor with no gold left, you'll give it to them for free. If they have run out of money, either go to another vendor or wait a day until they restock their coinpurse.
Hint #5: Selling the parts of a dragon is a great way to earn gold. Be careful, though, as they weigh a lot.
Love,
Gecko

RE: Skyrim: Daily Advice/Hints from Gecko
Hint: Don't fricken play with ice trolls.
Hint: Use shout's wisely, don't just use one shout over and over again.
Hint: Using a bow can be more helpful then you think, leaving a gap without damage on an enemy can be problematic if the enemy happens to be a better warrior then you...
Afaik, running away from everything works too OwO...

Haha Spam XD
Feel free to post as many hints as you like.
And yes, I learned your #4 the hard way.
Hint #6: Hagravens are freaking scary. Avoid them unless a quest tells you otherwise.
Hint #7: Even if you're not archery-inclined, have a bow favorited; sometimes a dragon needs to be shot at to prevent it from flying away.
Love,
Gecko

RE: Skyrim: Daily Advice/Hints from Gecko
I decided to run, party learned how hard I can shout due to how many times he killed me.
Skype Convo:
Me: Oh look, it's a white dood.
Party: RUN, DON'T LET HIM GET CLOSE...
Me: Eh?... Come-on he can't be that bad...
*Ice troll kills me with one hit*
Me: O.O WHAT THE?
Party: Hurrhurrhurr (About to die laughing at me)
Ice trolls eh...

Hint #8: Use the carriage system to discover new towns.
Hint #9: If you're playing on PC, choose smooth performance over high settings.
Hint #10: Ask around in taverns. You never know what cult might be brought up...

I would have to disagree with number 9, I would play high for the immersion, and the smoothness even on a ancient graphics card still shows, Just take thing's 1 step slower for everything to pre-load and render.
Hint: Having followers/hirelings can help a heck-lot.
You can control them manually (speech) or Graphically, by holding the default activate key on them 'E' usually, just press it while looking, and you go into control mode:
You can have them either move and wait on cursor point, open doors and activate things like traps or buttons and probably more that I haven't found...

Regarding to trolls, I read in a book that they're weak to fire.

The ice-trolls are weak to fire?! Captain Obvious strikes again!
But there really is only one rule regarding trolls: don't feed em'.
