Unusual events in the tavern

The tavern is loud. People are having a good time, celebrating some occasion. But the party stops when a scream is heard, and a shadowy figure rushes out the door. Everyone starts looking for the source of the screen, where a dead body is found in the corner, with a note on top of him. The bartender is the first person brave enough to approach the body, and grabs the note and reads it aloud

"Attention people of Kiwike:

There is a new group of assassins in town. We come when you least expect. We're gone before you know it. We are your neighbors, your buddies, your mayors. You cannot kill who you do not know.

We are... The Savages"

The bartender is about to throw it out, when he notices that the back says something too

"Now recruiting. Come one, come all"

The bartender decides it is best to rush people out, especially when another scream is heard

A shadowy figure sweeps into the tavern, and a familiar raspy voice emanates forth from the hood.
"Looks like we've been gone for too long. Don't worry, my fellow Kiwikeans. X will put an end to this. The Savages are about to become The Ravaged. You see, there's something I haven't told you, something that you will all need to know about me if I am to be trusted. The rest of my guild left long ago, but now..."
It pulls off its hood to reveal a smoke-colored hat, shades, and scales.

"G.Squid, P.I. is on the case."

G. Squid goes home after long days work to find the dead body of the Watchman slumped over in his house. The body appears older, with a lot of decay, and a terrible smell. He looks closer, to find another note from the leader

"We have no fear of you. When we heard what you said, we saw no more than a blank threat from a shell of what was once a force. We saw a man who once could have killed with a look, but now can only solve a crime when it comes his way. You are not the priority, at least not yet. Our priority is to the customers, those who are willing to pay for our services. Just hope that we don't have a lull."

G. Squid prepares to throw out the note, when he notices that the bottom is folded. He unfolds the bottom to find this:

"They never abandoned you. It's hard to abandon someone when you're already dead"

A young mercenary captain is enjoying himself at a bar with a few of his employees at the mavenholm tavern.

*after the savages announcement*

"OH for fucks sake!" He yells after the two assasins are gone

"Why won't people realize that we do things like this too?" Another of his men yell

"Bloody hell men! we've been kicked around and pushed out of business for far too long! I say we do away with both of these bloody groups! Time after time other guilds have tried to rise up and steal our place but no more!" The captain yells

A chorus of "Aye!s'" "Yeah!s" "Oi!s" from the mercenaries begin to echo in the tavern.

"We've been here far longer than these two bastards have! We've fought long and hard for our place! Will we let them stop us now?" He begins to tell his troops

"No!" they say in unision

"Its high time we told the other guilds who's in charge! So I ask you my brothers! Are you with me?"

"AYE!"

"Then so be it! We must gather our strength and prepare, this will be a long bloody conflict!"

as the other people in the tavern look on shouts and cheers and war cries echo throughout mavenholm, a new conflict has begun.
