So, some of you may be familiar with the Warhammer and Warhammer 40k Universe.
I've been playing 40K for a while, however I have never really painted my models, but them from a friend to begin with.
So now I got my own figurines to paint. I play the Necron race, they are pretty much soulless machines set on destroying and enslaving every living being in the name of their Star Gods, the C'Tan.
Although this has been changed very recently, I stick with this lore. Because the new one sucks really badly.

Anyways, I'll post my progress of painting them here, so you'll all be able to enjoy my incredibly shaky hand painting!

Step 1:
Spraying the model with black base paint.

Step two:
Colouring the model with the desired colour. This is done in several layers, to give a more realistic feel. Instead of just looking like plastic.

Looks better than my attempts to paint my space marines. I only painted one and the rest is somewhere on a shelf in my attic.

Which chapter did you try to paint? I think Space Wolves are pretty easy to paint.

And the trick is to find the techniques, you can't for example put too much paint on the brush, that will make it look like shit.

Yeah those are pretty easy to paint, just splash blue all over the place and you're good to go.
I'm guessing you used to much paint on the brush though, I did that with my first test units.

But, that was some time ago.

I never really got down to painting anything because I'm not very good at painting, one, and two, there were so many.

Yeah, Horde armies are not for the newbies unfortunately. Takes a fuckton of time to paint them.
Eldar are not to be recommended either, because they tend to like details in their colour schemes...
