The autobiography of a mad man.
((The following is an introduction for my RP character in Revamped.))
The following is written on a manuscript of some sort, covered in dirt and liquid you don't recognize, or don't want to recognize. You're not even sure if it is a manuscript, but it is at least a pile of paper that tell someone's story...
''Crazy...CRAZY! Get the hell up here, it's time, mate!'' is what I heard while a hatch above me opened, dropping down a rotten wooden ladder. I was standing in the mine where I was forced to work. I rubbed my eyes, they were hurt because of the sunlight that they hadn't seen in days. I looked around one more time into the dark mine. This was the last time I'd see it and while I should have been happy because of that, I still felt sad. It was where I was born, raised and if it wasn't for what I was going to do today, my final resting place. I picked up my rusty iron pickaxe from the ground and climbed up the ladder. My back and my head hurt like always while Shark grabbed my hand to pull me up. Shark was one of my friends here in this hellhole. He was smiling at me, showing his pointy teeth which was why we called him Shark. He was covered in dust and sweat which wasn't anything special if you were one of us. I scratched my head with my left hand, touching my dirty black hair. It was ages since I took a shower, maybe even ages since I had seen a shower. I opened my mouth to ask Shark if he was ready, but before I could say anything he said: ''Hell yeah, I'm ready.'' with his burly voice. He then screamed: ''ALRIGHT EVERYONE, GET OVER HERE.''. All the others gathered around us. ''Now, here's the plan, made by the smartest asshole in here, Crazy.''. I laughed as Shark started to explain the plan and the routes we would take. ''Alright, with the handmade weapons and explosives Scratchy made for us we will break through the gate of the camp. Then we'll rush towards the big boss' house, the Castle of Aldenduir though here, taking out any small guard patrols we might find. That's when the real party stars.'' I stopped listening there. I thought about the freedom. About what would happen if we killed him. We would be heroes. I couldn't wait.
''Three...Two...One...'' The wall exploded and we all rushed in. I saw people dying and every body part you can think of was flying though the room. I heard some slaves shouting some instructions but all I could hear was a high beeping tone. I didn't even notice that. All I could think of was getting to the throne room. Shark was right next to me, killing a royal guard now and then and breaking though doors trying to find the one that lead to the throne room. And there it was. There he was. I was standing right in front of the man who had made my life a living hell, the man who enslaved us all. I couldn't do anything but scream. Scream how much I hated him while Shark and some of the others cleared the room. The king stood there, laughing while I screamed at him like I never screamed before. When I was finally done all he did was clap. He opened his mouth which was covered in that ugly beard of his. ''I'll never die.'' is what he said. I grabbed my iron pickaxe and jammed it inside of his throat. Blood splattered everywhere. When I was done I took off his suit and put in it my backpack as a sign of victory. I turned around and laughed at Shark, who said: ''Hey, we won...Guess it's time to choose who gets which part of the kingdom, eh?''. I wanted to agree with him, but before I realized it he pulled his steel dagger out of his pocket and stabbed me with it.
I woke up and my left eye hurt like hell. I don't think I had ever felt this much pain. I saw Scratchy who told me Shark betrayed us and that if it wasn't for him I would have died from blood loss. I did not listen to a word he said. I got up and grabbed the nearest weapon from the table, which was an iron pipe, and bashed Scratchy's head in until all I could see was a mashed pile of flesh and bone. I didn't give a crap about him anymore. I didn't give a crap about anyone anymore. I walked to the corner of the room and grabbed what seemed to be my backpack to put on the suit. I wanted revenge. I walked out of the crappy shed we were in and just started walking into one direction. I was going to murder everyone who would ever hurt me again.
After I walked for quite a while through some plains I reached some sort of desert. The whole place looked even more dry than my mouth and I had to blink every 2 seconds because of the sand blowing in my eyes. As I walked forward the bloody iron pipe, which I was now using as a walking stick, crushed the sand making a cracking noise, as if no one had ever walked here before. The sand blowing in my left eye hurt, so I covered it with my left hand. Not like I would've noticed it if I didn't cover it, because the only thing I could think of was why Shark and all those other bastards betrayed me. How could I have made a plan for a man that would betray me for power? He probably turned all the others against me even before we executed the plan. Hell, he was probably even telling the rich peasants of the kingdom that I was the only one who escaped and murdered the king so that they would come and get me. Well they should've come, because I was thinking of how I could destroy them. Not for long though, as the sun burnt me with his hot rays. I looked around me and saw that I had been walking and thinking of the betrayal for hours now. I opened my backpack to grab a bottle of old whiskey and a stale piece of bread, which was what they used to serve us as ''dinner'' back in the mines. As I was eating and drinking my ''meal'', I saw a small tower-like building on the horizon. I couldn't see exactly what it was though, but I started walking towards it, as I needed some rest, and I wasn't planning to sleep outside.
The tower was further than I thought and by the time I got there the sun was already setting and it started to get a lot less hot. The tower looked quite cozy, a bit like a church. It seemed to be made entirely out of bricks, with the exception of some windows here and there. I walked up to the fancy looking wooden door and read the small sign that was hanging next to it. ''The Belltower, bed and breakfast.'' is what was written on the sign. I gave the door a couple of knocks until an old man wearing leather clothes opened the door. He was shocked by my appearance at first, but when I kindly asked him if he had a spare room for me to rest he laughed and let me in. The inside of the tower looked just as cozy as the outside, with paintings and ornaments all around. The man asked all sorts of questions, who I was, where I came from and why I was covered in blood. I had a pounding headache and I wasn't really in the mood for chitchat so I told him that I'd explain and pay the next day after I'd gotten some rest. We walked up the wooden stairs, just past the man's own bedroom, which I noticed because of the obnoxious sign he had placed next to it, to the tower room. I wished the man goodnight and took a little peek trough the small window above my bed. There were no other buildings anywhere in the area, just sand as far as my still functioning eye could see. But I didn't care, I was tired, I needed sleep, so I got into the surprisingly clean bed and fell asleep.
But not for long. My mind started playing with me again. I woke up thinking about Shark and his little minions coming for me. I was sure the old man looked a lot like Bash, one of the other slaves. Or maybe it was one of the people who admired the king who happened to have a vacation house here? I was sure I heard the man talking too. He must have been one of them. I opened the door to the stairs and started to silently walk down. I could hear whistling coming from the man's room. I went back up to grab my iron pipe. i smiled at my own reflection in the pipe. ''No one betrays me.'' is what I told myself before I walked back to the man's room. As I opened to door to his room, I saw him shaving himself before his bathroom mirror. I raised the pipe in my right hand while running straight at him. I forgot that he was standing in front of a mirror, and he turned around with cat-like reflexes, blocking the pipe with his right hand and pulling it out of mine. I took a left jab to the face and flew through the room, hitting the wall, and one of the many paintings on it. I fell to the ground together with what was left of the painting and loads of broken glass shards. I picked up one of the shards and tried to get up, but the man was pretty fast for his age so I had to dodge my own iron pipe a few times trying to get up. When I finally got up, I took the pipe to my face, while the man screamed: "Get out of here, you filthy thief!'', but to my surprise I still stood and before the man could raise the pipe for another blow, I stabbed the glass shard I picked up straight into his neck. He bled like a stuck pig, but at least he was dead. He fell to the ground and I tossed the shard onto his body. I wiped some blood and sweat off of my face and went back to the tower room for a well deserved rest. I couldn't stay for too long though, Shark could be anywhere.
The next day, I started searching the house to get some goods before hitting the road again. I found some food and a drink here and there, but the most important thing I found was a cigar box full of gold bars. I used to mine those, and I knew they were the currency around here, mostly the nuggets you could make out of them. As I stuffed the things I had found into my backpack, I heard a carriage approaching. I slowly opened the tower door and saw a middle-aged man sitting on the carriage. ''Ah, you must have had a fine stay here at the inn, how about a ride to Algoron?'' As I eyed the man to see if he was one of Shark's guys, I replied: "Algoron, is that a nearby town?'' The man laughed, making his glasses shove a bit down his nose, and replied: ''Sure it is, hop on! Since you're a new guy I'll even do it for free!'' I laughed at the man and hopped inside the carriage. I leaned back and thought about my ''adventures'' on what was going to be a really comfortable ride...
As I kicked the wooden carriage into a hole next to the road that I dug, using my old iron pickaxe, I saw the carriage driver sitting there with a smile on his face that just showed he was one of Shark's men. Luckily I also saw the iron pipe that was now stuck in the back of his head, going straight through his skull. I grabbed a tinderbox, that I stole from the other pathetic ass that tried to betray the unstoppable Crazy. I lit a torch that someone must have placed next to the road, which really came in handy, with the tinderbox. I turned around towards the lights of the big town Algoron in the distance and threw the torch onto the carriage, lighting it up into glorious flames of justice. I knew that when I got to Algoron, there would be much more people there out to get me, but my God, I was ready to kill all of them.
As I walked into the town I saw people in filthy old robes covered in mud. The town didn't look as good as I'd expected. It looked as if I was back in the mines. I needed some weapons, because I couldn't protect myself against a town full of betrayers without some good weaponry. As I walked into the cramped space that according to a small sign on the door. I walked in and without saying a word to the young rich looking man in behind the small desk and I threw the box full of gold in front of him. He laughed and opened a small display case behind him, revealing a bow made of the greatest oak wood in the area, according to the man. I laughed at the man and grabbed the bow and the quiver filled with arrows that he had placed next to it on the small wooden desk. As he turned around to put away the box with the gold in it, I decided to test the first arrow out on his neck. The bow was fantastic and he fell to the ground, bleeding to his death. I grabbed my tinderbox and lit one of the arrows on fire. As I slowly walked out of the store, back into the street, I shot the arrow at a piece of TNT standing in the back of the store. The entire store and the two houses next to it vanished in a matter of seconds. As body parts and burning wood flew though the town and scared citizens and guards fired their arrows at me, I shot an arrow left and right and saw the guards fall to the ground. I was better with this thing that I thought. I switched a bit between normal and fire arrows and before I knew it everyone was dead, or gone. And then I continued on my path. Like one of those real ''heroes''. Who knows where I would go to next? I knew it would be fun to see these betrayers' burning body parts fly again.
And there I went.
As I walked, the path slowly changed from a sandy, gravely mess to an actual stone road. I saw grass, flowers and even a couple of trees appearing and I knew I was getting closer to a place that was actually habitable instead of a hot desert. I looked at the sun while it slowly set. As I walked further some stars appeared in the sky and as I saw the moon rise the sounds of the night already came from deep inside the forests. I readied my bow for any betraying punks that would mess with me while I walked further along the road. I really needed some place to stay. I saw a mountain in front of me. The road went into a cave inside of the mountain. As I crawled through the moist cave I saw an entire city at the other side of the cave. When I entered the city it was...empty. There was no one there and all the lights were out. At first I thought they were sleeping but I then saw a huge lit up building with all sorts of animals with saddles on them next to it. I figured there would be a party inside and I thought I would check it out. As I walked in I felt a sword pricking in my back. ''Drop that bow, tough guy.'' is what I heard in a deep voice. As I dropped my bow I looked around the room and saw people tied to chairs and tables. Bandits seemed to have taken them hostage. They were covered in cheap robes and they were drinking liquor and smoking leaves. "Got any gold nugs for me, little guy?'' is what the bandit behind me said. I laughed as I gave the room another look and saw no other bandits focussed on me, only the guy with a sword in my upper back. I gave him a horse like kick on his right leg and as he thrust his sword forward I simply leaned forward and he didn't even hit me. I simply grabbed his sword and stabbed him in the throat, and then simply picked up the bow and shot the other bandits who weren't even fast enough to grab their sword. I then looked at the tied up civilians. They laughed, until I just walked away into the back room of them building. Any one of them could be Shark or one of his boys, I couldn't take the risk. The back room was filled with arrows, swords and armour which I then happily grabbed. As I looked to the left I saw something I had heard of before, but never thought actually existed, a nether portal. As I knew that these things were one of the fastest ways of transport and I was curious to see what was on the other side. I quickly went in to check it out.
