The definition of griefing
Griefing:

Someone, usually in an online game, who intentionally, and usually repeatedly, attempts to degrade anothers experience or torment them.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
How is taking away 2 dirt blocks ruining someone's experience. I hate to be the guy who complains about everything but seriously? Is taking away a wooden fence really a bannable offence? Or two dirt blocks is hardly taking away someone's experience, you would just replace them and carry on...

RE: The definition of griefing
Not even that, fine it could be classed as griefing but six hours over like 2 bits of fence? Little bit over the top..

I'm not being funny, but whoever loses enjoyment from having to replace TWO fences may aswell just stop playing.... 6 hour ban for that, even if against the rules, why even bother reporting it? People say just kids trolling, over reacting mods aren't really mature are they?

RE: The definition of griefing
By the way, the person in question is TheCreator. The removal of a fence posts means:

12 Sticks = 3 Wooden planks = 3/4 wooden block

Its not hard to replace and I feel the ban made by SirSuba is totaly unjustified. Also a Spirit RossSymm was banned for saying 'cunt' for a week. That is totaly overboard considering its just a word and has no effect in the world of play within Minecraft.

Ross was banned for Continuous flame. Not just one little flame. I also had to warn goregon and clobber multiple times about mod disrespect.

RE: The definition of griefing
Destroying two fences falls under the rules as griefing. It's four hours. If someone broke two important wall blocks of yours you'd want them banned too. http://kiwike.se/forum/announcements.php?aid=4

RE: The definition of griefing
Unless it was a block that took me four hours to get, I wouldn't want them banned for four hours for just two blocks, that;s just pointless. Unless it was a major grief or a repeated grief, I'd just fix it myself.

RE: The definition of griefing
I wasn't talking about ross, what was fair enough. and fine if it WAS two important blocks of your base. but it wasn't it was two fences to a farm, it hardly stopped them in their tracks or ruined their gameplay. and suba, what two blocks would be important enough for it to be a bannable offence. maybe if it was a block holding redstone circuitry, or a ore block (which is legal to take anyway). but for any normal player you would just replace them and carry on. It's hardly ruining the experiance for anyone.

RE: The definition of griefing
Simply because it's not major damage doesn't make destruction of property permissible, the principle of it matters as well.
Besides, why did they need to destroy it to begin with?
