Meta/Power gaming discipline
The rules for Meta Gaming are really harsh and a lot of people are being banned for it, which is very sad. Everyone is used to 2.0 so when they see someone they automatically put a bounty up, etc. I think we need to get a slightly less amount of discipline. Here is why. We need to get everyone used to Revamped but in a better fashion. Without this, the whole server could have temp bans. It's sort of like how dogs learn about the invisible fence. They cross the line, and get shocked for a split second until they go back. Well we will do the same thing. Instead of Temp Banning for a couple days, we ban them for maybe a half hour, or some set time. Instead of having a 2 day ban, which accomplishes nothing but anger, we kind of but them on the leg, and say, "Dont do that." That way when they come on the server again, they know not to do that. After they have learned all of the rules they wont hopefully do that. Like when a dog learns all of the boundaries and where not to pass in order to not be shocked. And dogs take certain amounts of time to get used to it, so will we. We will set a date in which the Meta/Powergaming rules will have the same discipline as now. Maybe at the start of age 2. Age 1 is basically just forming and learning correct? Learning is what we will be doing. As a lot of us have seen, none of us know the lines not to cross with meta and power gaming. Also, some mods have a different line than others, so I think we need to set up something that perfectly outlines the limits of meta and power gaming. I dont know if we have one currently, but if so mods need to follow is better, or it needs to be revised. I dont know what you guys think, but honestly a lot of people are being affected by these new rules, and its starting to piss some of us off

RE: Meta/Power gaming discipline
I've been giving players warnings for doing it, but most people seem to just ignore warnings. Honestly, a 30 minute ban would just make most people say "Oh I'll just walk the dog and play when I get back, thanks".

Once again, everyone should have read the complete Revamped rules before even writing their whitelist application and it explains metagaming just fine. Please do let us know if there's something you think we could improve in the rules.

The point is a lot of people are refusing to learn at all.

We could also just do warning bans. Bans for like 2 hours or something. And then a 2nd offense is 10hours, etc.

Again I'm going to say what I've said before. The more people can get away with the more they're going to try to get away with

Agreed. I think that the current discipline is good. We need to come down hard on the roleplaying rules.

Indeed. People will be able to use the excuse, "but it was allowed yesterday" if we slowly become harsher about it. Besides, a new start is a new start. People should have expected that.
