7.3) No Power-Gaming

Power Gaming in simple terms means doing one or more actions without giving the person you roleplay with a chance to react. An example of this:

*Thief: Hand over your money or die!
*Player: No, I will not hand over my money!
*Thief: /Thief stabs the player repeatedly till he dies and takes his money anyway/

Today I went to the Inn to deposit gold into my account. But skote showed up and said gimme your money. Thinking that this was against the rules I told skote it was against the rules and refused to give him my money. After complaining to the mods that it was against the rules they said it was not and let skote kill me. I did not make hostile action towards him.

Knowing rule 7.3 I believed that I was safe from his action. I have been on since the original kiwike server, and haven't complained about the rules because they weren't misleading and were fair. But because of this event being ignored I request that this rule is either removed or reformed. It lead me to believe that some random thief couldn't walk up to me and say "give me your money" and I could refuse and not be killed. But because of it I lost a multitude of items I worked hard to get.

I have followed the all of the rules (except that one time I greifed a kiwiship and I deserved my ban) and I believe I am a loyal kiwike player. If I had the money I would donate to the server but this is starting to make me think otherwise. I did not want to complain but this severely angered me.

I hope for polite responses not "hehe trollololololol"

RE: Powergaming
There's a thin line between powergaming and uhh, not powergaming. I believe the example given in the rules is bad. Skote gave you time to react in the form of yelling "gimme your money" Powergaming in this situation would be skote just killing you and take your money.

This is all my opinion and I don't know if it's a valid one because I am a pony.

RE: Powergaming
This definitely isn't against the rules. He told you to hand over your cash and you refused, he had the right to kill you.

You wot?

RE: Powergaming
Droid was told to change the powergaming definition a week ago. He's a bad admin though, so I guess I will have to do that.

If you're talking about once it's in the bank? no, it's completely safe there (except from the gov) but if you haven't deposited it yet, you take steal the gold nuggets/ingots.

RE: Powergaming
Actually, I was the one who told yotta to change it while he was in the middle of revising some of the other rules. Yak tak.

Also, the mistake that people had been making was that when it said /thief, it was meant to be using the /me command. I'm not sure why it was initially included in this way, seeing as how Revamped doesn't have much of the /me RP, but it has caused confusion. Hopefully, that explains what we meant when we added it to the rules.
