Is destroying a barricade a grief?
If I put a smoothstone barricade, and someone breaks in and fails to replace the blocks, does this count as a grief? If so Giratina(Oranges44)should be banned as he has failed to replace the blocks.

RE: Is destroying a barricade a grief?
If you put it up, only to keep somebody out as a quick way to block a door - it's hardly grief. Unless you want that there forever and it was broken with intention or ignorance of hurting your quality of gameplay (no, killing you does not count as hurting your quality of gameplay).

Also, what exactly do you mean by 'barricade'? That is very vague, could be two blocks in front of a wooden door, or a wall in front of your main gate.

In addition, I really don't understand how the definition of grief is so twisted as of late. 2 - 4 meaningless blocks broken by necessity to complete a raid or escape pursuers is hardly grief.
However, if these were absolutely all over the settlement, or were larger scale damage done on purpose I would understand why you would be upset.

Considering this barricade was probably put up in seconds (with no actual meaning or value given to it) to keep Oranges from following you and/or entering a building to raid, this a ridiculous charge - as breaking it was in character and you are only attempting to have him punished for the reason that you don't like the player.

(Goes for everybody) Please consider this before you post grief reports about silly things like this, it really does just make the server in general look really whiny, spiteful, and lacking of any actual reasonability.

I agree with Crash to an extent.

Conor, with this post you're simply looking to get someone who killed you banned. You don't truly care that a couple of blocks were removed, and they would be no hassle to replace. I think it's safe to say that if this person only calls grief to get someone banned out of vengeance, it is not classified as grief.

Half and Half, actually it's good information to know, I honestly didn't know anyway. Thanks
