Let's talk about inactivity
I have been extremely inactive as of late, not so much on the forums but definitely on the server itself. My reason is pretty simple but I'm gonna go itno specifics for you.

Do you know when I discovered minecraft on the deep depths of youtube?

around January 2010. The day I joined minecraft had just reached 10,000 players. I was sick and looking for something to do. I legitimately looked up "dwarven mining game" after looking through several dwarf fortress videos I found it. A video I'm not even sure still exists. It was something around the lines of "farming in minecraft". I thought it was on notch's channel but I couldn't find it on there.

Minecraft was absolutely unheard of then. there were under 40 videos of it on youtube and just one un-commentated gameplay series called "minecraft indev". I have been playing minecraft, for 3 years. 3 years. Back then when people thought of minecraft they thought of creative. Indev was like taking a huge step, like a promotion in a way, only around %10 of players owned it. I remember playing on "The One's Lava Survival" and becoming a part of a server called Altair clouds just before buying minecraft. After a few months of owning minecraft minecraft and playing it just about every day minecraft began to get a LOT of attention. It was often called "The best game you've never played". Soon it was constantly talked about, one day it jumped to 25,000 sales a day. And one day, I got home and didn't feel the usual urge to play. This was around a year and a half ago. Until then my interest in the game was decreasing. Then I bought my new computer about a year ago. After that my lil' spark was revived. Then I found kiwike and until a few months ago Ihad been playing a ton. Now I almost never feel like playing for long periods of time. Whenever I do feel like playing its days in between and for only a few minutes to an hour.

RE: Let's talk about inactivity
I came around very late indev. Those were fun times, back when you could create maps with the "floating" setting...
In any case, withdrawing for a time is usual in most gamers, depending on their true interest in the game.

RE: Let's talk about inactivity
I started October 2010 and I'm still playing 15 + hours a week. It's amazing, I still feel like I'm just getting started. I personally find it's hard to get bored of a game with near infinite possibilities!

I'm just saying that I think it's amazing that I still feel like I'm just getting started after more than a year and a half of playing a game nearly nonstop. (And by nonstop, I mean not taking any long term breaks)
