ok so i just got spout i turned it on looked cool until i was getting 3-20 fps i tried adjusting the settings to no avail and then just tried turning on shaders because i wanted to see what it looked like. crashed the game and now it works up until i log into kiwike or sp i see a glimpse of my hud and then i get a grey screen.
spout looks cool and i want it to work. please help me

Is shaders still on? There should be a setting before you actually log into singleplayer, multiplayer, etc, on the main screen to change your options. If shaders are still on, that very well may be the cause for your grey screen. Unless your computer is extremely epic like others, shaders are something you avoid.

yea i got back in i dled a new client but the lag... i heard spout made it better
i used to get 70-80
now i get 7-20

Definitely depends on your setup. Spout is much more CPU intensive than normal Minecraft. I get much worse fps in spout because of my old crap CPU. I think it's because of the optifine integration. Too bad

Try deleting your .spoutcraft folder and download it again.

You could always go into options and turn off the shaders before you log onto kiwike.

so anyone have any tips for boosting fps i have assigned more memory and still slow. my comp is a stock '06 imac im not a techy so use laymen's terms plox
