3 Strikes

So I've heard this rule "3 strikes and your out".I was wondering if that actually means anything.
If it does, a few people, I think my self included should be permabanned...But if the rule is only for
"special cases"(you know who i mean) then this should be taken out of the rules.

1.1 Three Strikes, You’re Out
In general, unless otherwise stated, a three strike system is applied to the handling of most rule violations.
First, a verbal warning or kick warning is given.
Next, a temporary ban for a certain amount of time is issued.
Finally, should one continue to violate the rules, a permanent ban is given."

I think LittleBlackout found that rule, took a large shart on it, and now we don't use it anymore.

Blackout never really broke a lot of rules, he was just a dick XD

I guess it's hard to follow that guideline - especially when offenses can vary so much.

Would it make more sense to say something like "those who commit minor offenses will, in most cases, be given a warning on the first act and a temporary ban on the second"?

If you read further, it says that the mods have the choice to follow the 3 strikes rule.

Well they followed it a little late. Conor swore broke some blocks and placed some "disturbing signs" he had 3 warnings then a perma i think we missed a critical temp ban here

Conor was banned by association with pwol and nlewis.

Well thats not on his record so i didn't count it. If that counts as his temp ban then it should be put on the record.
Well that thread of this thread is over and i'd like people to look at original post. The rule should be amended or expunged all together because it is only used in certain cases. We need to stop holding the community to a double standard of "people we like or have no opinion of" to "People we don't like" . I also feel we should stop all the ban requests in threads.
It is not a players place to call for a player to be banned. Notifying a mod is enough. We DON'T need anymore 30 page flame wars.
