Lightbulb  Battle Royale
This is a response that I posted on this thread.
I just wanted to post it here for (hopefully) more eyes to see. And easier access.
Please read the linked thread before posting.

To start:
A nation is picked to select a town to participate in the event by a godly voice (admin/moderator). In the message received, the mayor(s) of the town are told to bring the (online) citizens to go to a temple. From there a ghost (admin/moderator) makes the people go to sleep (teleports the people at this time). When they awake they will be on an island. From there armed guards (volunteers) will be around a powerful-looking person. They citizens will be told there is no escape unless all but one are dead. They will all be given an item (Bow and arrows, sword, axe, flint and steel, blast charge) depending on a number they choose (numbers for items change every time). They people get a time limit to run before the next person is let out.

Setup:
An island will be found/made in the middle of an ocean for the event. Buildings will be made in a certain theme. Chests with food/weapons/armor will be spread throughout the land. The temple will be small and ancient looking.

Rules:
1)No logging off for more than 5 minutes. If urgent, you are given 10 minutes.
2)Don't go off the island.
3)The start building is off limits, the surrounding area will be marked with glowstone. Don't go inside the glowstone.
4)Don't destroy the land AT ALL. No blocks are allowed to be destroyed.
5)When your dead your dead. Don't try to go back to the arena.

Location of the temple:
There will be a temple near every nation's capital. The number of players will be reported to the "ghost" so they can place the required amount of beds for the players to sleep in. When the players get to the temple they will be killed after they sleep to prevent people from bringing items.

Reward:
That is for the staff to decide.

Well that is the RP way. It could be hosted on a different server Where people log on and they are in the start building. The non RP way would make it to where entire nations could participate by making the island bigger.

Suggestions for editing the event are appreciated. Edits will be posted below.

1) i believe that there should be an announcement on when the games would happen, like how they announce server restarts.
Server-wide Participation
This may be a bit complicated for the RP version of the event. All nation leaders (and/or town leaders) would register on the website to receive a notification (from a godly voice) each time the event starts which includes: What number event it is (1st, 2nd, 3rd, ect...), who is participating RP name, town, and nation. With this they would create a board to post the information. Why? Well for fun of either guessing or bidding on who wins and creating prestige and honor to the winning warrior. Now there is a different option, there could be a public area where the information is posted. This area would be greif-proof. It could be put in the inn or somewhere else that is newly created. A RP idea for creating an area: A asteroid crashed on kiwike with strange words that appear upon it. Our tools cannot destroy the rock but it seems to be a part of some kind of competition. The recent message appeared as : Welcome to Battle Royale. Fight for your lives. Now for the non-RP way (I like to give options). There would be an announcement over the OOC that the event started. Seats around the arena could be placed the mods/admins could take videos and/or do live streams of the event. A official thread on the forums would be made where videos of the competition would be posted, people would bet GN, resources, and such.
Starting Armor
I wanted to have the game be in between really quick and really long so the armor that players start with plays a big part in the speed of the match. So I was thinking Leather Pants, Leather Shoes, and a Iron Chest Plate.

I'm assuming you're referring to metagame. This isn't metagame because it's suggesting a serverwide RP event. As long as your character doesn't magically know about it, it's fine.
I like the idea, but some people might feel like their toes are getting stepped on

I mean posting twice about something to gain attention for it, if it's already in an applicable thread it isn't necessary to make another.

I'm assuming he started the suggestion there, then realized it was a different subject and came here

RE: Battle Royale
It is indeed a different subject but the two threads have a similarity. This post is one idea and the thread it was originally in is a different one.
This is a RP (or non-RP) and somewhat unique idea. The thread posted was about making a Hunger Games server event. This idea is based off of a manga called Battle Royale, you can read my inspiration for this in the original post. (To my knowledge) The Hunger Games are set in the future where the government picks kids to fight to the death or whatever inside a type of arena. Battle Royale is set in a somewhat present time China where a school class is picked to do the same but on an island. And there are restricted zones at certain times where if somebody goes into it the collar on their neck explodes and somebody must be killed every 24 hours. Do you get the point? The kiwike world isn't futuristic and it's not up to present times. I just modified Battle Royale to be able to be set inside Kiwike in for RP and to make the server a tad bit more fun. We could take videos and watch as town or nation members kill each other to survive. Think about the great RP, the stories, the competition, the fun, the lulz, and most importantly the server. If you don't like the way that this is set up, tell me how you think it should be. I will most likely edit the post. If you don't like the idea you don't have to be in this thread. You don't even have to be on the forums. You could close your browser and do something different! Hell, you could shut off your computer and go outside! Don't just berate me/this post because you think I broke a rule when really I didn't (barely).

RE: Battle Royale
Cool idea, just requires way too much work from the admins to actually get the event going.

RE: Battle Royale
Yeah, that is why I brought up putting it on a different server. They could roll back the map/make it to where people can't destroy blocks. Also there could be multiple versions of one map where the chests are in different locations so that refilling the chests would be way easier (just do a roll back). But that is up to the staff.

RE: Battle Royale
I think this is a wonderfull idea!
Not only for the fun but also to attract new people as I heard we are with a smaller community these days.
And just think about what will happen wenn 2 nations are having a barrel and there representatives made a pact
wich eachother in Battle Royale. Just image how amezing that would be and what kind off Rp possibilities it will create!

RE: Battle Royale
Exactly, it would also be unique to the server, I have not seen something like this in a RP server before.
