Farmable glowstone!

So I was browsin the minecraft subreddit when I found this. (its actualy one of the top posts right now)

Growing Glowstone!

Interesting? I personally love this idea. Glowstone is a pain in the arse to get alone on a new map. Could this be implemented into the server?

No clue what that whole 'codey-business stuff' was, but this would be awesome.

Glowstone just makes things better.

The only downside I see is that using glow-stone in the nether for building isn't possible anymore. Ex. roof lighting. It would just form huge crystals in your roof. Other than that, I like it.

It could be made that the algorithm only kicks in when there's already, say, 5 glowstone blocks connected to eachother. This way we can still use them as lights.

I think he said it only works in the Nether. Not positive, but I think it said that somewhere.

Oh and it said you need a really big space for it to grow, so I doubt it would grow if you have one block of the stuff in the ceiling.

Yes, this script only works in the nether.

Yeah I like this idea, finding glowstone in the nether is quite rare now as everyone has dried up the resource.

He said it grows faster in bigger spaces. I'm talking about nether bases though. Having a block in the ceiling in say a 50x50 area, would cause it to grow. Which, in term, would not allow you to effectively use glowstone lighting in the Nether. Party's solution should, and would work though .
