Kiwik- E Mart; Interested?

I'm thinking of creating a kind of mall in Kiwike 2.0 where anybody can start up a shop and sell their goods called Kiwik-E Mart. It would be the go-to place for shopping, and have a main plaza with multiple levels and different areas for various kinds of items. The only price for having your own store in it would be a stack of sand and 16 coal (to aid in the construction of New Rapture; I assure you that this is not for personal gain). Would people be interested in the idea of a mall like this?

Having a bazaar or large market within a city I would have no problem with. Maintaining a large mall operation might prove difficult while also trying to maintain a city-state. A center trading post would have to be a neutral place with no nation affiliation. From an RP standpoint New Raptures connections to the Helvanthar Nation would cast shadows on that neutrality. There could be interesting ways to RP your connection to the "mall," bribes and the like to the "Neutral" proprietors. This ties into a proposal that I will be giving to the community shortly, so I am naturally on the "anti" side of the fence.


As the founder of New Rapture expect a visit from Kubrick either in-game or via the boards. I will attempt to do it in character before the start of 2.0 for the record

Sounds good! It would be nice if it could still be called Kiwike-E Mart; the pun's too good to pass up.

This has great potential but i will have to agree with above either it will get blown up and/or destroyed. Stolen from and the supplies thing is almost a gain. Another way to charge people for instance, would be to go into further expanding the market. And which is better Kiwike-E Mart, or Kiwik-E Mart?

Ideally, we would have block protection; otherwise, this would be pointless. Personally, I think Kiwik- E Mart is better.

I'd love to have something like this; but I think it shouldn't be a mall, as there weren't malls in the midevil timeframe. Instead, should be bazaar like Kubrick suggested.

You should make this in the wild, do not make it within a nation because other nations will be un-allowed to go if the nation is very hostile.

Pay for protection out of your pocket if you don't want it greifed.

I have to insist that there be an RP forum created. I want to contact heads of state, governors and the like to address this. Gecko has connected to something that is very viable. Something I want to add to the nations, but feel that it is best done in character. please rp forum!
