Alright , I have to decided to suggest a number of things in which their be a poll to vote on. Each for every separate idea. So let us begin shall we? (I'm not much for introductions)

1) Although this may sound ironic , I believe "LIGHT" RP to some degree should be reinstated. Truth is , RP is fun and having absolutely none of it somehow to me at least deteriorates playing experience. Role playing connected towns and players together and we should have some form of it back (Somewhat like 2.0). But the question is , how do we achieve this? Way I see it there's some alternatives to reintroducing it.

-First off we put nations back into the game. So far according to Yotta there will be no Nations back , And looking at how it worked in 2.0 with whole scale nation interaction it was pretty awesome. Re-adding nations allows for RP on a small scale , but enough to spice up the server and make it more interesting. Nations will work the same way as before , You'll have sub threads just for Nations in which they'll discuss events and so forth. To create a nation you'll need one town of at least X number of people (It's pretty debatable) and under this nation you can have as many towns as are willing to join with you. Their be a nation chat for obvious reasons , this will enable more interaction between players and will make it easy to arrange events within your nation. A nation application should be very detailed , government type (Ie Democratic , Dictatorship) , Interests and a brief description of the nation and why it believes it should become a nation (Oh let's not forget nation list). But let's not get mistaken , when I say RP I do not mean the catastrophe that is Revamped RP , I'm talking a basis on forums and declarations and conferences and so (The fun aspect of it). I'm pretty sure im missing a ton of things which were implemented back in 2.0 with nations , so please remind me in the comments down below so I may edit this. In addition to all of this nations would have their own freedom and ability to tweak to their interest. They can decide on plot prices inside their nation and if they would like to apply a monthly tax or so. On the whole , this would make Kiwike more fun and interesting because it would allow for a more interesting experience server wise;Some people might think we don't have the playerbase to make this happen but isn't it these types of things that attracted many players to this server (Including myself)?

Second idea , more of a addition to the above to obtain this light RP that a lot of people are striving for we need postboxes back. Yea I know , It's a simple idea but with nations this would go perfectly as it would allow for the sending of letters and equipment between towns of the same nation and or / opposing nations / Allied nations. Before some people in chat say anything stupid. Let me once again remind you that It's exactly like 2.0 (There will be no ingame need to RP like in revamped and this is merely fun and a compromise to people who believe there should be some aspect implemented) Instead of working as a right click to post items it should be a triple right click. Ensuring someone doesn't post something valuable by mistake

Well that is the end of my ideas for reintroduction to a 2.0 style RP , If you have more ideas please post below and I will add them if I feel they are good ideas. So now , I believe we should have the Player Y killed Player X thing added - Just because it is an PVP server as-well :3

And lastly! Reinstate GN. The whole villager emerald argument is stupid and pointless , and there is no easy compromise emerald wise. So instead we just re add something that is easy and affordable for everybody , emeralds are just to retarded in my opinion and we need something more flexible to deal with - Once again prices will be discussed and we'll just have a generally more map - based currency which would allow for markets and so forth to reopen. The reason I believe this is a good idea is because emeralds is just who can hoard 20 villagers in a pit underground and spam trade with them , whilst there is several ways to obtain gold nuggets and there are endless supply's of it contrary to the limited villagers on the map.
With this idea I believe player based markets should reopen , this once again was something epic off of previous servers and I'm pretty sure many people will agree this is a good idea. However due to abusing of chests we'll have a 30 diamond limitation on how much diamonds a person can store in a market chest at a time. And of course regular regulation by mods will have to occur.

Nations

Nations weren't great in 2.0. I have no idea what 2.0 you're talking about. There was really only one nation in 2.0, Helvanthar. All the other communities were separate "nomad" towns, eg The_Grand, Dracko, New Nosaka (or they were in Helvanthar, can't remember)

However, we have been considering some way to join towns together to form a nation but it's extremely hard to come up with a viable way that doesn't suck like the Towny nations.
So yeah, nations are probably coming back in some way, shape or form.

Postboxes
No, just no. A quick, cheap tool for people raiding letting them empty entire storage rooms in seconds. It eliminates the whole transportation aspect of Minecraft when you can just safely send stuff across the map and store items in them (through friends or alternate accounts)

Gold currency
We did really consider keeping the Gold currency for this new server but we decided to go with emeralds.
  • Using materials found within Minecraft promotes X-raying
  • Duplication bugs can easily cause havok
  • Emeralds are the de facto currency in Minecraft, like it or not. I know they're kinda tricky to get your hands on at the moment but we've been discussing adding NPC shops that will trade various things every day/week/whatever for emeralds as an addition to the already existent villager trading.
  • Having NPCs trade various items for money encourages different ways of playing the game than just caving and strip mining all the time to acquire wealth. Maybe gathering lots of flint from gravel or making bricks out of clay (deep sea clay farming anyone?)

Player shops
Yes, please. I do want this on the server. But the old ChestShop plugin that we've been using for over a year has a lot of flaws. We (I) have been trying to come up with a better solution but it's pretty damn hard to make them fair for everyone.

Why we should re add GN
  • [*] Gold nuggets is generally more flexible and is obtained via many ways , People can actually acquire it with little to no problem and wealth is obtained with no hassle - If you really do want markets back you should seriously consider adding GN , No one is going to buy bread and stuff for emeralds considering it's such a stupid and fixed currency which not a lot of people have an abundance of. You can't really sell anything other then diamonds and iron for anything above 1 emerald a piece.
    [*] Gold nuggets "Might" promote xraying but with this logic we should also remove diamonds and emeralds , as both of them are liable to xraying. And surely if a person was xraying it would already be caught by the hardworking and dedicated staff. Therefore this argument is invalid
    [*] Emeralds are obtained through one main thing , villager trading. Personally I feel a lot of people don't like having to trade with a testificate and go through the hassle of curing them or building a villager place in the middle of no where to obtain the currency. Unless you make it that emeralds are found in veins of like 6 other emeralds I don't see how markets will work as you won't have a currency that's easy and people have an abundance to trade with.
    Unlike emeralds , everyone has a decent supply of GN so instead of when being raided they lose almost all of their materials they'll have a stash of GN to buy and resupply themselves which would also help the economy.

I think you missed my two biggest points there.

We could just inflate the emerald economy using the NPCs to make them easier to trade with if that's what you want.

And no, gold nuggets aren't obtained in many ways. You either mine them or kill pigmen.

Or you sell items to obtain them , with emeralds it's almost impossible considering everyone barely has anything.
