RE: Master-Stone Cutters Journal
A message is sent from SirSuba to Kubrickb through a carrier pigeon. It states, " Are we friendly brother? Any offensive action started was not of my hand, and If we have caused you harm, I am sending my regrets toward you. Please accept an embassy floor in our main city, and protection throughout our lands."

Road to Bludwick: Day 3 of Construction
While attempting to finish the Bridge across Squid Bay a most curious Pigeon landed on one of the wood pylons. I tried to "shoo" him away, before realizing he was carrying a message.
It was a letter from the Northern Viking Leader. I had made plans to contact him about potential work for the Builders. I was excited to see that I could now safely travel to their capital. I shall make plans as soon as construction here is complete.
I have one more day of laying the Groundstones. The Finer details I can leave for a Surveyor. I should reach Mavenholm soon!
*A sealed missive via Pigeon addressed to Suba*
Chieftain SirSuba,
I do not recall any direct conflicts with your people and have no ill will toward Eyvind. I will make my way North upon completion of our current project to discuss anything the Roadbuilders can do for your nation.
Please let your people know that an envoy of the Brotherhood will be traveling to your Capital in the coming days.
-Kubrick
*the letter is sealed in wax with a backwards "R"*

Mavenholm: 1 Day after Bludwick Groundstones Completed
My back aches and my hands are calloused and bloody. I should travel to Bludwick to collect payment for the guild, but am to tired. I will send word to Android to hold my payment till I can make it back to his capital.
I have yet to hear word back from Nfmous. He requested defensive architectural sketches for his Barracks. As much as I hate war, we cannot hide when called on to build. Since it is Defensive in nature I have complied and sent the drawings. Still no reply.
My bones are so tired! I will travel North to find Eyvind. I am sure they will need a road commissioned. It seems that they are always about claiming scalps, but I cannot find a Northmen when I go out looking for them. So is their way.
If I do not hear word from them soon, I shall set out to New Haven Retreat and rest.
I am worried, I have not come across another Roadbuilder since coming to the New Lands. They were all suppose to be here, ahead of me? I will ask around Mavenholm in the morning.

New Haven Retreat: Day 2 Kiwike's Future
I have rested here for 2 days and much has been on my mind. Tilling the land and caring for the animals here has allowed me time to meditate on the state of the realm.
Things are in disarray. The war that rages and the grievances of the people are weighing hard on the Kiwike. Some thing must be done.
I started my life as a Roadbuilder were most builders start. In the mines cutting stone. I achieved my Master Stone-cutter status earlier than most. I expected on coming to the new lands that my fellow brothers would be here. It appears all are lost somewhere in the void between this world and the old. That leaves just me to reform the Builders, make them what they once were.
By the Law of the 12 tables, I have completed the tasks of Master Surveyor and Master Mason, almost as quickly as a became a Master Stone-cutter. Now I must strive to become a True Master. To do this I must become an Arbiter.
I will attack this with as much zeal as have done things in the past. I will make New Haven a place of peace. A place where all may come to air their grievances, to settle disputes peaceably with reason and compromise. This is my new task.
I will become a True Master and re-establish the Roadbuilder Brotherhood!

RE: Master-Stone Cutters Journal
Somewhere in the Frozen Wilds: Day 5 of Western Survey.
I have lost track of the days. The blistering snows and ice all look the same. I have been lost more times than I can count. Walking in circles. I have set up a camp here is hopes to find relief from this cursed cold!
I completed the main path from Eyvind to Cornerstone, what seems like ages ago. I still have work to do in Tullius as well as finishing work for the Vikings. So much to do, so little help.
I went to the library in Mavenholm in search of answers. Where are my fellow builders? What has happened to them? I found some interesting text about the Void, how the first explorers to the New Lands were lost there for months, before finding themselves in the Frozen Tundra of the Western Lands. In my Eagerness to find answers I left, ill prepared. I will have to return to civilization and make this trip with people more familiar with this region than I.
I must return to Mavenholm, finish the research and find help. I must also negotiate a grace period before another road is started. I must find HELP!

New Haven: Day 4 of construction
Help has finally arrived and it has been a relief to my bones. I have had 4 Travelers, respond to an ad I placed in Mavenholm. They all made the dangerous journey to New Haven. All have decided to stay on and help with the town and farm. This is very Much Welcomed. Several of the new hands have expressed great interest in become official Entered Apprentice. I will review there request after they have finished their Initiate Task.
I have tasked Trooper with creating a laboratory, where we can better study the effects of light and water on the Shadow spawn. His progress in both construction and research is hopeful. We must do more to find what causes these creature to carry so much hate for Kiwikian Life.
Sarodinian has been a work horse in the mines. We now have an extensive track system, that fairies what he fines to the very building where those goods are stored. He has found much gold and iron ore, both of which have helped secure the Hamlets finances for awhile.
Pretandar has shown great interest in the Roadbuilders history and lore, so I sent him to the task of building a Library for all to study and relax. I look forward to it's completion.
As their individual task whine down I will send them on their first Trips as Representatives of the Roadbuilders. We will need Keepers to maintain the roads that have already been built and they all need to see the wonders of Kiwike.
As for me, I have much administrative task to finish. A new job board, letters to mayors and more research into the Void. I am hopeful for the future!
A strange quite peace seems to be in the air.

Mavenholm: Day 2 of Recruitment Tour
I came to Mavenholm, in search of rare goods and the hopes of finding a few new employee's for New Haven. I came across a very disheartening flyer posted on walls in the Market District. The Coconut Island Bridge Builders seem to think they can rival the experience of our ancient order. I will send word to them soon and dissect their intentions. I can not in good conscience allow bridges to be built that are unsafe and unchecked.
I do not know why this group angers me so. Perhaps, it is all the work I have put into the diplomacy and negotiations of the different Nations and Towns only to have them use our well established name in their advert. As if they have been "Roadbuilder Approved".
I will move forward with the initial plans for the grand bridge from Mavenholm. With all the might of the Travelers, we will overwhelm them with a spectacle of our engineer prowess.

New Haven: Day 1 Return from the Ice
I woke up refreshed this morning, although I was a bit foggy as to what had happened to me over the last few days.
I traveled back to the Eastern Ice Lakes to continue my research into the Void. A blinding blizzard, the likes I have never seen, forced me to seek shelter in an expansive caves system. I spent days roaming the jagged walled tunnels before finally finding a second way out.
The blizzard had passed and I was standing above a vast ice field. I vaguely remember an attempt to walk over the ice only to fall into the freezing water. I do not recall much after that. Perhaps, I two was lost in the Void. The next thing I remember is walking through the doors of the Retreat at New Haven.
I will have to catch up on things, and leave my curiosity about the Void subside for now.
To buisness!

The Wilds: Day 5 Road to Sargoth
The Roadbuilders and I have been busy carving our way through a vast mountain range on the way to Mavenholm from Sargoth. I am unsure of how long this project will take. Something in the stone here has played hell on our diamond picks. I may have to meet with R3dbull and discuss an amendment to our current contract. At the rate we are tearing through our pickaxes, we may very well empty New Haven's diamond supply.
I have received word from Sarodinian, that there are some newcomers to New Haven. I will have to return there and see what the new arrivals have to offer. He has also sent word that strange noises can be heard on the Eastern winds. We will have to investigate.
I have sent Peten ahead of me to Mapleridge, perhaps he can negotiate a road to Mavenholm. It would be much easier for us to include them in this contract. "Two roads one Stone," as they say.
I must continue on.
