Map reset soon?

So the discussion has been... discussed?   around the forums. Some of us are thinking of starting over on a new map. I believe that if we do this, it will happen sometime early January.

What is your opinion on this? I would love to see reasons to why or why not!
So far this is what we've got!

Reasons for:

• All the duped items will be removed
  
• Everyone start over fresh
  
• The starting kiwi will be much lower, like 50, and you will be able to exchange gold for kiwi.
  
• A new and better town system will be added
  
• Easier to manage chest locking system and less resource eating.
  
• The current map has towns like 30 blocks from each other. Not as fun.
  
• The map WILL be reset at some point, may it be 1 day, 1 month, 1 year. It will be reset anyway. You can't have the same map forever.
  
• We will have an awesome, unique RP system. It will be like. Awesome.
  

Reasons against:

• People have worked hard for their buildings, towns, stuff.
  
• Don't want to lose all the progress
  
• Sunny D and Rum

Honestly I feel like we may need this.

Cities being so close together and such... Like I know android is trying to find this real RP element... and I also want that, the reason I came here in the first place was for a good rp environment.

I don't want to spend 1 minute to get to the next town, I want to spend 5, 10, maybe 15!
Hundreds or thousands of blocks.

A real journey.

Albeit, it'll be a little sad and disappointing to lose all the time and effort put to such creations that we made, but it would be nice to have everyone start on the same page with a clean slate. But when and if we start this new map, even though technically majority of the land is wilderness, it would be nice to actually have some order from all the chaos that could ensue.

I for it! Although I do not have anything of value in the current map, I think it's good for everyone. This way, we can see who really should end up on top of the food chain rather than the old timers. I am for it, however, I think it should happen ASAP. If there are technical difficulties, then I'm fine. But as Nsanexer mentioned before, I am indeed trying to find this RP element and I would like to get into it right now, rather than wait and not be able to start my town. On the plus side, I would be able to meet more people to add to my town. Go for it, as for the time, I guess I'm neutral.

I think it would be fun to just adventure out really far and build 2 opposing towns on a new map.

I think everyone thats new on this server wants a map reset, so do i.

Doggy, opposing towns is a good idea, especially with a brand new start. Competition causes improvements. Anybody recall the Space Race between the US and USSR? If this happens, I think Droidopolis shall be a main contender.

I'm totally for a new start, a change to make it more RP: longer distances between cities and no minecarts, and for everybody to make a new city, fail and join another And no, i'm not for 2 teams, that's kinda boring. Cuz u can be sure one is going to be stronger, and everybody wants to be on the strong side

Not technical difficulties, but we have some other plans for the time, which is secret for now
