RE: Knights of Dusk
Thanks for the post just so there is no debate to the authenticity of the raid. Pavja was trying to sell some guild insurance and lardmonkey indicated that he was not interested in getting any because he had a VIP plot and an iron door. Needless to say the guild made short work of it as indicated above.

We broke into lardmonkeys basement, emptied all of his chests (and by all I mean all, even cobble). We also visited a few other residences in flagstone and picked up stuff from them to. The raid occurred when 7 people were online, including some residents of flagstone. The raid was planned two days in advance, flagstone was carefully mapped, attack routes were planned and a depot was dug to contain stolen items. The next day pavja caught lard online and offered to sell him everything back for 35G (a good deal since the stuff we stole was worth waaay more than that). I'll post more details about the raid later (including a copy of the PM planning the raid and perhaps our map of flagstone).

Hopefully this will convince you all to procure insurance even if you are sure your block protection works (lard was) Lard could have easily insured his entire basement for the rest of the summer with the 35G he ended up paying us anyway.

RE: Knights of Dusk
Hmm, rather bold for a small group of thieves to go raid an entire town. I thought the whole aspect was to take one house at a time, checking out the places and figuring out when they're on or not and what security is there, not GUN HO I made a map let's go do this all in one day. Sorry to seem like a troll, but it just seems too big for any less than 10 people to pull in my mind.

RE: Knights of Dusk
We are good at what we do. Raiding towns takes a lot of people and organization (I'll post snippets of the organizational PM for this raid so people get an idea what goes on and can live vicariously through our thieves). We did a good job of it and we do have well over 10people now, the guild is huge, 17 people and I've got at least 5 applications I'm waiting on / considering turning down. I don't like accepting everyone, just the people I know will do well in the guild.

Raiding of Flagstone plans (information best kept private has been kept private, PM is slightly edited/bowdlerized):
Quote:Ok everyone we are planning to introduce a massive series of carefully organized and planned raids at tomorrow in order to increase the sales of guild insurance. The following needs to be done to make these raids successful. I need *everyone* in the guild to send me a PM with a list of all the towns you have build rights on and what approximate times you will be on tomorrow, information removed . Please give me your times in GMT so I don’t have to worry about time-zone differences.
Once you have sent me this PM I need you to *carefully* explore the town in which you reside and look for hidden chests and basements. Be very careful not to be seen or suspected, I need you to take a screenshot of every hidden entrance, and every chest you can find in the towns. To make these screenshots useful I also need to be able to see the coordinates. It would be best if you all download Zan’s minimap mod and just use the “show coordinates” option to show coordinates on the screen without all the other performance nonsense. Once you have the screenshots taken I would like you to upload them to the Internet in some manner (media-fire, tiny-pic) information removed . Commanders I need you to contact me to work out the remaining organizational details, we are going to set up precise plans as to how to get through a town (even populated) as quickly as possible.
The basic format of a raid is going to be as follows:
Guild members with build rights will be assigned a number of partners, the more build-righted members the less partners but at least two will be need. These guild members will remove blocks in the town to access chests. One or two guild members will be required to stand guard and protect the remaining guild members who while emptying the chests (yes empty these raids are not about getting stuff [more on that soon] they are about gaining a reputation for the guild and getting more insurance payments coming in). The items will then be ferried to a concealed depot information removed . Then the thieves will return to the city to raid again until the city is looted as completely as possible. When the city is empty we will leave a sign informing them that they have been visited by the Knights of Dusk. Information removed .

information removed . Once the gold is paid we will relocate the stuff to depots to be picked up by the town, then send them coordinates and let them come collect the stuff.
For this to work I really need those of you who are currently not residents of towns to gain residency in one of the following towns:
information removed
The town of bludwick is exempt from the raids as they have been insured by the guild.
information removed
Payment:
40% of all the money earned will go to fund information removed. The remaining 60% will be divided equally among everyone who participates. If a town does not buy back their stuff by Sunday all of their stuff becomes guild property for members to make use of as they please. Anyone who moves to information removed will count as two people for the purpose of dividing up gold information removed . This gold is yours to use how you please on whatever you want. I strongly recommend that you slowly launder the gold so that no one watching your account can tell you are in the guild (add no more than 10G per day).
Depending on the town other arrangements may need to be made to distract residents or help with the heist. We will try to keep pvp to a minimum. If you are caught do your best to keep identities secret. Don’t derp and use /ch l or /ch g, or fail to sneak or get caught in a place you shouldn’t be. I will set up an IRC chat-room or some similar thing for the event to facilitate effective communication. If you have a voice or text chat client you would like to recommend please tell me.

Everyone should also download this mod :
http://www.mcmodcenter.net/infusions/pro...hp?did=428
or similar (the function you need is sneak).
(the main purpose of the mod is so that your fingers don’t start to bleed from holding down the shift-key), look-behind is also nice if you need to flee quickly.
During the mission you MUST sneak the WHOLE time unless you are 100% certain you have been seen. By 100% certain I mean someone has explicitly said your name or indicated awareness of your presence. One mistake novice thieves make is that they think they are seen when they actually have yet to be noticed and they come out of sneak and get caught. People with build rights, you need to information removed so that guild members can get into basements without coming out of sneak.
Everyone’s inventory should be as follows:
Quote:
1. Full armor in 100% repair of any sort (leather is probably fine, diamond is probably overkill, iron is ideal).
2. Bucket of water (For climbing and falling)
3. Iron Sword or better
4. Iron Pick or better (you need fast, gold picks might be worth it if you have gold to spare)
5. Bow and full stack of arrows
6. High-health food (3 bread, 3 porkchops, 2 cake, 2 bread and 9 wheat, something like that).
7. Flint and Steel
8. 1 Sign per home to be placed in visible location
You should not carry anything not on this list so that you can grab as much stuff as possible in one run. In order to quickly empty a chest the person with build rights should just destroy the chest and someone should pick everything up at once rather than shift-clicking each thing one at a time. The build-righted person should then return the chest so the owner can find it empty.
Your bar at the bottom of the screen should be:
Quote:
Sword, Bow, Food, Pick, Bucket, Flint and Steel
I will be contacting everyone again with more information about the raids. Please PM me with your location and build-right details. Please move to information removed if you need a home. The code phrase for this operation is going to be information removed . If someone tells you this they have received this PM through some means, don’t talk to anyone who does not know the code. If you are given a new code in game only listen if it comes from information removed .
Good luck everyone please send me pictures, coordinates and useful information, be careful not to get caught and I will be working with you all soon!
