Droidopolis Specifics
Droidopolis

Lots:

10X10 Government provided lots. If the plug-in is added then the rent money will
go to Android to make the town even better. These will be inside the walls of
the city where the mayor's house is and the town square. I was thinking about
making 6-10 of these houses. They will be uniform but may possibly have
different decorating. The interior will be editable by the owner but only the
insides. Rent is due every week and would hopefully be taken automatically from
the renters account. If they do not have sufficient funds or refuse to pay, they
may be removed from the house and all of their belongings inside taken as the
payment.

City plan: There will be an inner and outer city, the inner city is to have a
walls graciously planned by stern23. Included within the inner city will be the
market square, 10 prebuilt houses for rent, the mayor's residence, the town square, and any other more important buildings. The outer city shall be planned as a grid according to the lot measurements below. The
grid shall start small but will be very easy to expand. All of the ground under
the lots will be dirt with grass for presentation purposes.

Houses: every person is allowed a 10X10X5 lot for building space. Their floor,
including walls cannot take up over 70 blocks of their lot. 30 blocks of the
land MUST be reserved for a yard of sorts on which only the following can be
placed: flowers, torches, signs, saplings, wheat, reeds. 3 of the 30 blocks may
be water for planting and farming. The plots will be separated by government
provided fences and a government provided sign will be added to show the
ownership of said plot. The 5 blocks high will allow for 1 floor and a roof with
the first floor being 3 blocks high. The house that is build must obey gravity
meaning nothing can be put outside of the house outside of the
main floor's line except of course torches on the outside walls. The plots
provided will be in a grid sorts of planning. Absolutely no mines are allowed
inside the official city limits except for one public mine and any government
run mines. Once you buy the lot, it belongs to you officially but will be
revoked if you have been inactive for a month. Everything inside will be taken
by the government and/or put up for auction. Once you own a lot, you
may auction it, sell it, or rent it. The maximum amount of lots one may own is
3, no more. 1 floor basements are allowed but within the walls you built.
You must have residence IN Droidopolis city limits to be an official citizen.

Jobs:
Jobs will be lax due to the role-play of the server. Set out to be what you want
to be. Build, rent in Droidopolis, expand the city. The jobs we do need are a
few shopkeepers, people to supply those shopkeepers with what they need, and
gaurds. Multiple guards are needed to defend the inner walls of Droidopolis. To
add onto that, several guards are needed to patrol the streets of the grid. They
are for the most part mob protection, but of course, they must be prepared for
attacks from other player cities. Unless you are in real estate and get paid for your lot
or have a marketplace and recieve the money from it, no jobs will recieve pay as of now.
This may change later on but for now, no payments. As far as I can tell, nobody else on
Kiwike has jobs in which they get payed for. Payments would be much to hard to keep track
of and some corruption could come into play.

Politics:
Droidopolis is to be run and fully operated by the mayor, and his aides. On
certain things, citizens will be able to vote. On others, they will not. I will write
a nation info chart outlining the basics of Droidopolis economy and political aspects.
The mayor will have a cabinet filled by the most active people who can indeed fulfill the
requirements of that job.
The following are the current positions in the cabinet:

Minister of Foreign Affairs
Minister of Defense
Minister of Foreign Policy
Minister of Agriculture

Foreign Policy

We are open to any other towns becoming allies however, our one setback is that you cannot be an ally with any of our enemies. A list of allies will be created in the sub-forum of Droidopolis along with a section for anybody considering being an ally to post doubts or questions.

What I have here is for the most part permanent as we need a stable town, however, some things may be changed so check back often. If there are any questions or anything I should add, please let me know.

Re: Droidopolis Specifics
Actually no. I am now thinking of scrapping the apartment idea which may have been the closest to communism but please me in specifics what you think is related to that political idea.

Honestly, what about this is communistic? These are called building codes.

Also, he's right about it being difficult to figure out a system to pay people for their work. If they have a job with the city that doesn't involve getting paid directly for you work (shop-keeper, supplier, etc.), wages would have to be figured out and a method of payment, as well. He didn't say it would never happen. He said "for now".
