The more I think about it, the more I agree with Crash. *shudder* Ender chests don't really add anything and are pretty sketchy in the rp sense. I vote down with them.
You don't seem to realize the potential as an extended inventory. I went mining for an hour straight without returning once. It pretty much doubles your inventory size.
Here maybe we really should just disable them because i see raiders making a hidden chest putting stuff in it then destroying the chest so then the people cant get them back then just go back home and gather the loot

Another option would be to give it to all donors, and allow Sponsor's to keep their normal chest at the inn for two unpickable chests. For all others the chest may say "An unbreakable enchanted lock is present," until they've gained a donor rank.
I'm afraid the positive feedback won't be prevalent if we went this route, but the enderchest is indeed OP after we've been offering protected chests to Sponsors only.
I don't think we should remove players ability to access vanilla items. Donor ranks should only come with abilities not already present in the main game, otherwise the server becomes limited in function to the average user.

Ender chests are far too OP for an RP server. Nobody will be able to steal any valuable items, ever.
Just....No..... offline hacking is a bit irksome to deal with, since there is no honest way to retaliate, and in all honesty when a person logs out OOC, their char in a sense is still there....doing their thing IC .... Offline hacking really does smack our IC/OOC divide in the face.... as it basically says, "Your char cannot think or do anything while your not directly controlling them"
Overpowered for a survival?
pls yotta.... you brought me on to make this an RP server, any one can run a survival server, You wanted an RP, its is harder <3
Besides I really dislike the idea of being able to hack into such, You can't double stack enderchests. so in the end you merely have but one single chest to store items.
Think of it like this, right now only sponsors have any safe way to store goods, Why not leave the chest as they are? non-sponsors then have a way to safely work up to a secure method of storing good. While I would MUCH Advocate donating to the server, the chests don't seem to pose too much of an issue.
Now the lock picking, yes I say they would be able to abit with a much longer time needed to break in.... I mean in all honesty it is harder to craft an enderchest, and even harder still to move it. Thus the lockpick time would need to be increased accordingly. Perhaps if the lock picking time was increased? Im not sure how data is stored for the enderchest, but if someone picked a lock, in what way would the server know the right players inventory to call up. A Global hack is a surefire way to damnation in my opinion
Survival is a core part of the Minecraft experience and RP server or not it's still relevant. I do however agree that being able to pick when the character is offline is not a good function. Stealing from a random persons bank account also harms the RP aspect as you may be stealing from your friend or king or family. So yeah from an RP sense the suggestions so far don't seem very plausible. So yeah, I think we should just leave it as is.

No need for hyperbole, you'll have about as many chances to steal as you do with the current town system.
