I still want to do something with the wargrounds though. Maybe we can rename that to like, "KiwiArena". The arena would be more focused on TDM/CTF/BF style games. I mean, just because it's RP doesn't mean everything has to be as realistic as possible since it is a game after all.

trinitz, more people who whitelist can be fixed. We haven't really had a need for it yet.

I really like the idea of a Kiwike arena that is distinct from normal war. I would love to use the mavenholm arena more often but its rare that I find someone willing to trek all the way down there for a fight and then respawn back in their town to make that long walk again. Just defining player-built arenas with some special plugin that allows them to respawn there until they are done fighting would be really great. I have no idea which plugin is in this video but it looks pretty nice:

I figure I should give you all some info about how the current "KiwiWar" plugin works.
The wars take place in a separate universe, at the wargrounds. This is like a normal minecraft world but it can be very customized with villages, capture points etc. It isn't too big, the size is about 300x300 blocks if I remember correctly. Right now a war is where nations can recruit an army. The nation can then sign up for a war, a normal war has two parts. When two nations have signed up all soldiers will be teleported to the wargrounds, to their main base. The war it self is very much like battlefield games. There's several bases on the map with a flag in them. These flags can be raised and your nation will capture that base. Nations get points from capturing flags and killing people from the other team. The first nation to X points win. So far winning does nothing, it just teleports everyone to Mavenholm and that's it.

There is also a supply store. You get WP (warpoints) when killing and capturing. These are personal points that can be used in the store to buy war supplies.

I know this is very much like a game and less than a war which is why I was thnking of making it a "KiwiArena" instead. We also have plans to add CTF and TDM to this.

That's what I worked on some time ago but never really finished. Now it's just lying around and we don't really know what to make out of it.

I officially want this plugin. Now. Not as the sole means of waging war, but simply because of this ^

The flag is even animated when it's being hoisted Smiley (Took some time coding that part..)

Anyway, we need the final pieces for this plugin. For example, nothing happens when a war is finished. I'm also thinking of having every nation/town have a special portal to the wargrounds that opens when a war starts instead of just teleporting everyone. EWBTE

Shouldn't the portals only be located in Town Capitals?

So Nomadic towns can't participate in wars?

Yup, right now it's just for nations. I coded it in a way so there can be other kind of teams in the future though EWBTE

Guilds, nomadic towns, you name it. It's just a matter of adding a couple of lines of code.

Yeah, but I can't really see KoD participating in this.
After all, that would expose their members.
