RE: Plugin: Professions
I agree with Naam, this would limit us too much, I loved the 2.0 economy because it was all player based, everyone got to change it and do what they wanted, nobody wants to sit there chopping trees as money, I think it's a stupid idea. A talent system would be cool but still unnecessary and I think it sets back new players.

RE: Plugin: Professions
I really like the idea of some sort of skill tree which Party suggested, and I think we should look further into the matter.

"Professions": Each person can chose (and change) there profession (1 or 2), and each professions gives limits what they can sell to that professions.
If I were a miner, I could only sell ores and minerals.
If I were a lumberjack, I could only sell logs and planks.
If I were an alchemist, I could only sell potions.
Et cetera.
Doing this would make the economy much stronger. A few months ago, I was reading a forum discussion on some Minecraft site about how Minecraft economies are extremely hard to manage, since everyone can be completely self sufficient. Buying and selling things just doesn't have a purpose, because you already have it available (no matter where you live!)
On that point, another option to strengthen the economy would be to somehow limit what resources you have available based on your biome. This would be an awesome addition to Territories, but I have no clue how you would go about doing it.
The top servers already have that plugin and are using it atm.
i dont mean to diss ur idea but its been done already.

RE: Plugin: Professions
I suggest: as in skyrim you pick one of the stones you find around the place.but in kiwike you find some other way to pick your "blessing" maybe npc's or something
like mining: stone maybe faster mining warrior: half heart more damage scout: faster move speed
alchemist: faster brew time? lumberjack: faster cutting of all wood based block
and maybe a separate archer class with faster draw back?

RE: Plugin: Professions
There's already item enchantments; I see no need for that.
