RE: Kiwike 3.0?
I honestly think we should wait until Notch release is the full version of minecraft. We can put up with the current server version until then right?
Oh, and I did not have enough time to read all the comments, so if someone already suggested this, kudos to them.

RE: Kiwike 3.0?
Cerce, the only problem is there are so many things in the upcoming version its insane. Its sometihng to think about. But then again, i'm not sure when Notch will put in the "Dream World", and if it will require a new map or not.

In this matter, I'd say patience is a virtue. There will always be a better update. The longer we wait, the better map version we get.

Of course, this requiees us to wallow in a 1.3 map that much longet.. Honestly, it is not my choice. I'm just putting my two cents out there.

I just built my town which means i wouldnt neccesarily enjoy rebuilding but on the other hand it owuldnt be very hard to rebuild especially if i write down the build plans. idk. A fresh start is interesting and it would be fun to the see the brand new world generation in action on kiwike. idk. I think that we should do it on 11/11/11 when minecraft is released that way its likely that there wont be anymore major updates form that point on.

Minecraft released on 11/11/11?! HOW WILL I PLAY MY ELDAR SCROOLZ NAAOO!!!Huh Why!

Who cares about the release date really? It's not like anything special will happen.

Agreed. One question, though, for anyone who knows... Is the Nether generated when you create the world or when you first travel to it? The answer will likely be the same for the Aether.

In SMP, a 400x400 square around the spawn is created in all worlds on server start. Yes, that's right. The nether has a spawn point too even though it's never used.
