The Arena
The arena would be in the same dimension and would probably be built by the spawn castle. the plot would be protected yes and players (Spectators & Combatants) would only be available to enter through commands. The building will be done by Bvc and I (If he agrees, Of course). The Spectators would have to be in a Non-Pvp zone to stop others from spoiling the match. (Like what has happened in the past with non-plugin fights)

Commands
Players would be teleported into the arena 'Magically' yes. The commands could be just simple TP commands for the spectators with a <Deduct 1 emerald> command when they arrive. The combatants would have a /arena challange <Playername> Command, then would have the same command as the Spectators (with a different destination obv) and deduct 3 emeralds.

Event
My idea of it was that it was an anytime event. To Initiate it, it would just take one player to challange another.

Oh i got something to add if you dont mind... With the gambling idea what if we have NPCs where you put the money. They then do some equation to decide who wins what amount of money based on how much they bet

Yeah that is usually how gambling works. And it would probably be better off just doing the gambling with commands as coding them into an NPC would be harder to do.

I don't doubt that, Well anyway, nothing is finalized yet and we'll bring up all the suggestions on this thread and the other one (Bvc's thread) in the next meeting. don't get me wrong, i would like having NPC's control betting, but its just a matter of coding it in. Tongue

How about you don't have to bring your own gear and automatically get put into the arena with a iron set and a unenchanted diamond sword? Tongue This will appeal to players who just want to fight without loosing their sheet
