So what do Donors have that they did in 1.0, what is so much more generous? Please, enlighten me.

I'm not so sure thats a straight answer to the question.
From playing 1.0, and then into 2.0, I will agree, that some things where taken away and some given in.
If, I did still play Kiwike, I would feel like a lot is taken away from. I was an active player among Kiwike, and not a donor, and others where to. But I didn't have a choice wether or not to donate, As money is thin among my family. Paying Twice the amount I payed to get Minecraft, just to fly a ship around, is quite the asking price. The whole point of Donating back then was to get added benefits to the game that where not needed would be nice. Such as /sneak, and so on. But adding such a feature like this and making it, Sponsor only, is far from user friendly.
Again, I understand the no junk in the air thing. But like Asdf said, getting the wool, the gold, and so on, is already a pain enough. Most player who just wan't to make trash would not spend the time into getting the resources to let alone make it.
This is another disadvantage to all us Non-donors. I have to walk to Maven. You can teleport.
I have to walk home. You can teleport.
I have to carry a load of trading items one at a time across the continent, you have a flying ship with chest on it.
Its another unfair advantage that will be implemented to make our lives harder, and yours easier.
