I think the further from Vanilla the server gets the worse it gets. My guild has a leveling system, it is player-run, player-maintained and player-enforced. I agree it would be super-sweet if Master-Thieves could pick chests faster than Applicants due to some mod, but there is a question of necessary vs sufficient. Vanilla systems are unique, require more time and are frankly more fun. Minecraft is a great game as it is, why mess with it? Like I said in previous posts. You don't need a plugin to make a thieves' guild, you don't need a plugin to run a lottery, you don't need a plugin to hide your stuff, you don't need a plugin to do most things that happen in game. I think the goal should be to bring kiwike minecraft to be the most "real world" style of minecraft we can. The basic idea is a gut-check ask yourself "is x possible IRL and is it not possible in Vanilla minecraft?" if yes then a plugin that adds that capability is arguably advisable otherwise I say we should stay away.
