I was raised in a Christian family. I have been cured of asthma - no it isn't dormant. My aunt has been cured of cancer. My mother has written two songs that she sang in a dream. My father was able to quit smoking because of God. My grandparents on both sides are very, very Christian and have looked at the various ways of looking at God. I'm sure you guys would love my Grandpa, he's all about facts. My Grandma, however, is very spirit-filled, and will bless you so hard you won't be able to refute His presence. I've seen it done - I'm not joking. A friend of mine has had ulcers litterally dissapear. My Father, while in the army, was training with the rest of the guys, and when he tried to fire, his gun jammed. He rode back to the base where he would be getting it fixed, and rested his helmet on the tip of his gun to get some rest. When he gave the gun to the guy who was supposed to fix it, it shot off. After it left Dad's hand. Money has appeared out of nowhere for us in our bank account when my father was laid off. You cannot tell me that these are all random acts of fate, or scientifically explainable, or just luck or chance. The proof is in the acts.

You were born with asthma. Your aunt developed cancer. Your father started smoking. Your friend developed ulcers. Your father was in the army because mankind need forces to blow each other to smithereens in case of a major disagreement. Your father was laid off.

It seems like whenever something bad happens to you or your family, it's because that's the was things turned out, but when something good happened it is because God does it. Did God cause all these problems or can he simply not prevent them? Is it that he lets them happen to people so he can impress them by fixing their ailments?

I also had asthma that went away when I got older because asthma does that all the time. My mom grew up as a little girl with a fan pointed at her face so she could breathe at nigh and by college she could do a 6 minute mile. Why does asthma go away more than ALS or Alzheimer's? Is God not at good as curing those or does he think asthma is worse? I'm not trying to be a cynical asshole here, I'm just wondering how you explain evil in the world if there is an omnipotent God controlling it.
